What do you love about your job?

There are so many things I love about improving people's lives through fitness and wellness! Sometimes, it's the client who has been sedentary and is tired of feeling “blah”. Other times, it's the ones who have dealt with personal issues, and now they want to take care of themselves. When they start to get stronger and more fit, their confidence visibly improves! Being the person sought out for guidance, when just a few years ago I was in their shoes, is incredibly rewarding and humbling. As I train and mentor different people, I'm getting stronger as well. I've upped my own knowledge. I created and tweaked effective workout plans for my clients. My amazing clients make me a better fitness and wellness professional!

What or who inspired you to start your own business?

I struggled with my own fitness and health for many years. I've lost and gained around 500 lbs over the years. But when cancer struck my family, a flame lit inside of me I didn't know was there! It became my mission to be the best and fittest I could be. Then when I started teaching classes and eventually training, it was about sharing my knowledge with the world. One of my cycling mentors and a personal training friend were really instrumental in pushing me to do what I do. For them and a few others who saw my potential, I'm eternally grateful.
