Carroll Mechanical's estimate was $300! I decided to purchase their regular maintenance contract for both our units, which was also very reasonable. The tech who came to do the tuneup, Jordan, seemed extremely competent (I'm not an HVAC expert so I have to trust that these guys know their stuff and are telling me the truth - which is not always the case), and he pointed out a couple of other things that need fixing. Unlike with the first guy, I felt I could trust his assessment - this company is not trying to rip people off. It's clear they want long-term customers and understand that the way to get them is to be straight with people, do good work and charge fair prices."See more
