Excellent!! Highly recommended! My 2 boys have been taking guitar lessons with Dr. Taylor for 2 years, and it has been a great experience. Dr. Taylor relates very well with the kids - he is funny, kind and extremely patient. He puts the kids at ease with a gentle attitude that creates a learning atmosphere of open, honest communication. Dr. Taylor is very perceptive in his evaluation of the struggles and progress each student is experiencing. He takes a keen, personal interest in each student. It has been a pleasure, for both the kids and myself, interacting with Dr. Taylor and I especially appreciate his flexibility, understanding and his easy-going nature. I am very grateful that my boys have him as their instructor.

I started taking lessons with Paul a short time ago and I have made tremendous progress. My lessons have been tailored to what I personally need, not just some structured lesson plan. In one lesson, he was able to tell where I was at in my playing and got me started in the right areas to become the kind of player I want to be. Paul takes time to explain the "why" behind what he's teaching me and what it is leading up to. He answers all of my questions in detail and relates them to a song or something that I already know. This helps gain a better understanding of what I am learning. My favorite part about taking lessons with Paul is the environment he creates when teaching. It is laid back, there is no pressure and most of all, just plain fun. Paul came highly recommended from a friend and I would do the same for any one.

I teach all skill levels. My goal is for you to grasp all aspects of this unique instrument as quickly as possible. I also use the harmonica as a tool to teach music theory, putting you in a position to be able to play with other musicians right from the start. My ability to play guitar during lessons allows you to experience the joy of "jamming" along with other players. I love to teach beginner guitar as well.

About

My name is Zach, and I love to teach. I look back at my first guitar teacher and think about how he changed my life very drastically with musical knowledge, and that is what I want to do. I aim to help people shape their musical futures. I have been in several blues bands throughout the last three years, and have taken lessons for two years myself. I have also studied a bit of jazz and spent some time one on one with a few of Western Michigan University's instructors learning. I can help almost all guitarists improve and learn; from beginners through experts. I also teach slide guitar. Lessons are only 15$ for half an hour, and scheduling is flexible.
