I had an upcoming audition and I hadn't done performance singing in a few years. In order to prepare, I took a few lessons with Carolyn Smith. She is knowledgeable about the preparation process for an audition, as well as the actual singing lessons. We determined my singing range, then focused on perfecting the audition song. She is a positive and patient teacher, encouraging one over the tough spots while also challenging one to continue to improve each time with new techniques. She taught me how to adapt the sounds in the song to better show off my voice, how to add expression to my singing, and improve my overall sound (tone, projection, breath control, etc.). I highly recommend her to anyone who wishes to improve his/her singing abilities.
I have taken private voice lessons for several years at COO and more recently, guitar lessons. It has been a great experience for me as I have learned a lot about vocal technique and performance through the many opportunities I have been given to perform for small and large audiences. I highly recommend Conservatory of the Ozarks for those seeking to improve and enhance their abilities or take their talent to the next level.
My daughter takes guitar lessons with Kara, she is great! Works well with my daughter and she has fun at her lessons. Great teacher!!
Tim is an amazing instructor that brings life into the learning environment for my son as he is learning drums and piano simultaneously. He keeps the lessons fresh by letting the student work on things they are interested in while also teaching some of the more intricate educational pieces that make music happen. He has been a blessing to work with and my son looks forward to each lesson!

Ana is absolutely wonderful! She really gets to know her students and their families, and works with the children on a personal level. My son loves going to his piano lessons with her, and learns so fast due to her great teaching methods! We couldn't have asked for a more patient and understanding teacher.
