Choosing the right home inspector can be difficult. Every home inspector has varying qualifications, experience, work ethic, equipment and pricing. One thing that is certain is that a home inspector should be professional, trustworthy and have the experience and expertise to perform the best inspection for you and your client. A home is the largest purchase your clients will ever make, so it’s important that they understand the condition of their investment. Being both a home inspector and contractor for many years, I know homes inside and out, so I can spot problems with materials, installation and workmanship that other inspectors might miss. My years of experience and training show in my extremely comprehensive and detailed, but easy to read inspection reports. Whether your clients are purchasing a home or commercial property, please let me help them make the most of their investment. A thorough and unbiased inspection is what you get with Terra Home Inspections LLC. I pride myself in the best personal service possible with honesty and integrity. I currently hold the following licenses, certifications, and accreditations: NJ Home Inspector License #24GI00128600, NJ Radon Measurement Technician MET#13265, HUD 203(k) Consultant #P1811, IAC2 Mold Certification #IAC2-03-4647, NJ Home Improvement Contractor Reg #13VH07429900, InterNACHI Certified Inspector #14032411, ASHI Inspector #254685, Satisfying my clients and working with 1st time home buyers. I am available 7 days a week for my clients during their house purchase period and afterwards I love when clients ask me questions during the home inspection and teaching them about the different components that make up the home as we go along during the inspection. That gives me a sense of accomplishment for that particular inspection. This also carries over into the numerous reviews I have received from previous clients on Google, Thumbtack and Angie's List.

  • Mr. Home Inspector

I strive to do the best inspection possible for my clients. I am informative as well as understanding. I litsen to and try to answer all my clients questions. I like meeting new people everyday. I like to see different areas of New Jersey. I am always excited by the prospect of inspecting a home style I haven't seen before. Older homes are tricky but the most interesting. With new homes, my clients expect perfection, so I try to re-align their expectations. No house is perfect, and they all require ongoing maintenance and repairs, just like a car.

I am a licensed home inspector as well as a certified mold inspector, which gives me a solid background to help determine the source of any water intrusion or mold issues. I am very thorough in my inspections as well as very detailed with my report writing while making it very easy to understand and read. Every inspection is different. As an inspector I get to do detective work, as well as problem solving and computer work. It allows me to travel to various towns and meet people.

  • BDS Inspection Services, llc

    (4 reviews)

My service stands out due to my nearly 20 years of experience as an inspector as well as my other experience as; a contractor (roofing, siding, kitchens & baths, painting and paper hanging...), landscaper, Retail sales (Home Depot & Sears), bouncer, DJ, road manager for bands (drum tech, guitar tech, bass tech)... I also have an associates degree in communications-television production, am a certified diver, & photographer. What does all this mean...I am able to communicate with people on many levels and can clearly explain issues to my clients. I love to teach them about their new home. I love meeting new people of all different backgrounds. I also love when something new comes up (after 20 years it still happens more than you'd think) and I may need to research it or spend some time figuring it out.

What do you love about your job?

I love the opportunity to work with a diverse group of people from all walks of life. A great deal of my work comes from prior customers who are referring me to their friends and families. Each and every home is a bit different and has its own characteristics. Sometimes, a home inspection is a bit like doing detective work trying to figure out what goes where and when were different things done to the home. I always enjoy hearing back from my customers who invite me back to see the changes that they made to their homes after they've moved in or had a child.

What or who inspired you to start your own business?

My inspiration for starting our own business is my wife. She has stuck with it when I decided to go back to school after over 25 years so that I could get my home inspector's license and start my own business. The nice part of being a business owner is the freedom from a set work schedule and itinerary every single day. I like that I set my own hours so that I can pick up my children from school each day. I won't say that it was easy. I remember calling my number from another phone to make sure that it is working in the beginning. Like everything else in life, there are really good and really slow periods. The key is to stay focused and upbeat.
