I took piano lessons as a kid and vocal lessons through middle school and high school in a small rural town two hours from Pittsburgh. After a year of feeling a little lonely in a new city by myself I decided I wanted to take a piano and singing lesson once a week just for something to do and to keep myself "in singing shape". I found thumbtack, answered all the questions, and waited for emails from music teachers to come through. The next day I had multiple responses but Rossi Music Studio was the first I opened up and I called immediately after reading it. Even though I was very excited, I never saw myself driving a little over an hour three days a week to work with Joe a few hours a day. I never thought I could find so much amazing talent in one place, even the 7 and 8 year olds have incredible singing voices. Rossi Music Studio's curriculum is so cutting-edge that I can't believe how much I've grown in the short period of time in range, vocal agility, and tone. After a month I don't even recognize my voice and I am realizing what an awesome future I have to look forward to. Pittsburgh is very lucky to have Smokin' Joe and his amazing talent. He genuinely wants the best for each student and puts all of his heart into each lesson. He brings out THE BEST and more in each of his students.
I'm happy I decided to start taking guitar lessons. The teacher is friendly, very knowledgeable, and patient. I feel like I've learned a lot and I look forward to learning more. Lessons are reasonably priced and I feel like I'm getting my money's worth.
I am enjoying my guitar lessons with George. George is a very talented guitar player and a great teacher. I feel like I am learning a lot which is making practicing enjoyable.
Scott is a fantastic guitar teacher. I've been doing lessons with him for about two years now and it has greatly benefited my playing. He has an incredible amount of knowledge and experience which he is able to communicate in an easily understandable manner. His schedule is flexible and prices are reasonable. If you're looking for a guitar instructor around Pittsburgh, you would have a real tough time finding anyone better!
I've been taking classical guitar lessons from Zach for about 6 months. He is a great teacher and is helping me to enjoy learning and playing. He is teaching me music theory as well as practical technique.
I have been taking guitar lessons at N'Stuff Music for 10 years. All three of my guitar teachers have been excellent and have guided my progress in the genres of rock and classical guitar. I also took voice lessons here for about a year. The learning experience and support of the knowledgeable store staff have been outstanding. If I had to start over again, this is where I would be.
I teach multi-layers of guitar techniques, ideally suited for singers and songwriters. I teach rhythm, finger picking, and soloing. I use a variety of styles such as folk rock, blues, country, Latin, bossa, jazz, funk, etc. to add variety to my songwriting, and I'd love to share this with the right student(s).

Take guitar lessons from an experienced musician at a great price! I have played with a lot of musicians, and I know how to teach people to play music that is fun and enjoyable. My teaching techniques are a little unorthodox, but students love the way I help them to understand their instrument.
I teach children and adults guitar, rhythm and lead plus bass guitar. I can also teach some beginner piano and singing lessons.
My lessons aren't strict or a "burden" as some may say. They would be fun and experimental, for your own benefit. Students can walk out strumming away on their first day with a smile on their face, and hardly any money out of pocket.
I have been playing guitar and studying music theory for nine years. I am looking to help spread the joy of music by teaching beginners who wish to learn. I will teach any age. All I ask is that my students take this seriously and want to learn. My wife is my personal assistant, and all appointments and lessons will be made through her.

Hey there! My name is Jeremy, a private guitar instructor through the Martier Music Academy in Aspinwall, just North of Pittsburgh. I have over 11 years of playing experience, as well as a degree in music education from Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, VA. If you're looking to learn and expand upon your knowledge and ability on the guitar, it is my job to provide you with a relaxed yet motivating environment that caters to your individual needs. I teach all styles (contemporary acoustic, classical, electric, etc.) and all ages and skill levels. In 2004, I spent 5 weeks at Berklee School of Music in Boston studying pop and rock. I currently perform throughout Pittsburgh as a solo act as well as the guitarist for the Voodoo Babies, the opening for national touring artists. The Martier Music Academy is a brand new music school in Pittsburgh with a philosophy of fun and success rooted in music education. A trial lesson is $20; regular lessons are $25 with a registration fee through the school. All lessons are for 30 minutes, and I currently teach on Thursday afternoons and evenings. Eventually, I will be adding Tuesdays to my teaching schedule once I gain enough students. Thank you, and feel free to contact me with further information, with no obligation!
