Barbara is amazing!!! I should start by saying that I took on most of the wedding planning on my own. Due in part to geographic distance, I knew I'd be planning and organizing most of the event on my own--and because I love to DIY, I started the process off feeling confident that I could manage everything independently. It took me months to realize that, in fact, having help--particularly from a professional who has first-hand experience--is a tremendous asset. Barbara impressed me from our very first conversation with her warmth and organization and willingness to (literally) meet me and learn about the vision my fiance and I had for our wedding. As our day-of-coordinator, she lifted a huge burden from myself and helped me organize friends and family as we all came together to celebrate. I only wish I had found Barbara sooner--I would have happily hired her to help me plan the event from the start!
I had a great experience with Remi & Gold. They were wonderful from the first time I talked to them about doing my wedding florals till the very day of. Always responding quickly to my questions and willing to meet my needs when I decided to have a few changes here and there. I appreciate the work they did. My florals and decor was exactly as I had planned and Imagined it and I am so thankful for their help I would highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding who wants wonderful florals and an amazing hand with everything else they may need.
Shaun was an AMAZING wedding coordinator. If you are looking for someone to help you on your very special day, look no further!! My wedding exceeded my expectations thanks to Shaun and her team of helpers. My wedding included many DIY components so putting it all together on the day of was going to take a lot of work! Shaun offered an additional service of a decor staff that was a lifesaver. The team helped set up all of the tables and chairs for my ceremony and reception. After setting up one table as a model, the team expertly decorated the rest of the room to look flawless. Not only that, they went above and beyond to help serve and clear plates for the dinner service and stayed to the very end to clean up the venue at the end of the night. If you are doing DIY at your venue - ask Shaun about the decor staff! Above all, I couldn't have pulled it off without Shaun herself. My family and I got to truly enjoy my wedding without having to run around and take care of last minute issues or questions. We had brought some battery lit decorations for the cake table but had forgotten the batteries! Shaun swept in and like a fairy godmother pulled batteries out of her bag. Genius! There was an exterior door that locked when it was accidentally closed and all I had to say was "tell Shaun" and she called someone with the venue to help unlock it. It was all taken care of and I never had to leave the dance floor. Shaun was a liasion with my DJ, photographer, and videographer that made the communication simple and effective. At the end of the night, I told Shaun, "If anything went wrong today, I sure didn't notice." She told me with a big smile, "Good, that's exactly as it should be." Thank you, Shaun!!
One of my favorite weddings that I photographed in 2014 was Aasha and David's wedding at the TFWC Mansion in Austin on June 29, 2014. He also worked well with the couple. Bekah worked as the event planner for my wedding in 2014. I pulled in an event planner fairly late in the process and Bekah did a great job with moving forward with things I had set in motion. She was incredibly responsive and patient with me, the bride, but took charge with the vendors and managing all of that. On the day of the wedding she did a great job of shielding me from the chaos. I would recommend Bekah and would also use her for other events.
Amanda did an amazing job helping us with our wedding. She made the day go so smoothly. After speaking with the Grooms father she even put together a special table for us. I highly recommend Amanda. She was very professional. She kept us on the timeline that she helped us create. We forgot long lighters for our sparkler exit and Amanda sent her fiancee to go get some for us. She listened to our ideas and the day could not have been any better! The decorations were stunning! She was very fun and easy to work with. Again, words can't explain how amazing Amanda is!
Alexa was my wedding planner/coordinator. I met her at a friends wedding and was in awe at the work she did at that wedding. We met had an consultation she asked lots of questions and in the end we went with her clean & cut package which is essentially full service. When I tell you she literally walked with me and Jensen hand in hand through everything until we said I do and then some, I don't know what I would have done without her. Alexa is amazing, she is my recommendation to anyone in need of an event planner.
I was a very "hands off" bride as I was accepted into law school after my husband and I already set our wedding day. Emmetria connected us with a fabulous caterer (Queenie's Delectable Delights) and super awesome photographers (Mia & Taffy). I needed a wedding planner that could literally just tell me when to show up and what to do (especially after I learned that my midterms were scheduled to begin the Monday AFTER my wedding weekend). We had a fabulous wedding. I am still getting compliments from our guests on the fact that our ceremony and reception were so well coordinated. I went "bridezilla in reverse" because I was so apathetic about the details of my wedding the closer the date approached. I had to step away from 95% of the planning 60-days out from the date to prepare for my first semester of law school. I do not recommend starting law school and getting married at the same time; but, if you must, your wedding is safe with Emmetria. Also, we live in Houston and Emmetria lives in Austin. She drove to Houston for our initial consultation and after we hired her, I never felt like I was working with an out-of-town wedding planner. Ahh Emmetria, I know I gave her hell, but she was 100% professional from beginning to end. My husband and I had several "freak out" moments but Emmetria let our irrational moments of insanity slide right off her shoulders.
I decided to have a wedding of the day coordinator 3 months before my wedding when I started having nightmares about my wedding gone wrong. I found Michelle via thumbtack. I'm so lucky I chose the right one over so many listed in the internet. I just hope that I got her at the planning phase of my wedding so I wouldn't have a hard time researching & comparing for the best wedding vendors by myself. She has a very good list of the preferred wedding vendors. Michelle has such a pleasing personality & easy to work with. She's not pushy & acted upon on what I envisioned my wedding to be. She worked within my budget. She's very professional & was prompt with her email responses. On my wedding day she executed it perfectly! The Church ceremony was solemn. The reception was organized, romantic, & beautifully decorated. I was overflowing with happiness! It was so stress free for me & for my families! We all just enjoyed the special day. My mother & mother-in-law even said that she really did a wonderful job! She was just at the background & even attended to my guests' needs. Kudos to Michelle! Again, my heartfelt gratitude! I definitely recommend her for your special event!
We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Evelyn helped us plan our wedding and served as a day of coordinator. Working with our limited budget she was able to create a truly memorable night. Her personality and work ethic will set you at ease. She was easy to collaborate with. Everybody knows how strenuous a wedding can be but Evelyn's attention to detail alleviated our stress. This October we will be celebrating our one year anniversary and will be looking back fondly on our special day.
Lauren was a miracle worker and made our wedding day phenomenal. You should absolutely hire her for your wedding planning and coordinating needs. We originally hired “the best” local wedding planner who was highly recommended by the venue for our wedding last October. After two meetings with the original planner, it became apparent to us that she was disorganized, tardy to meetings, and we were not comfortable with her planning/coordinating our big day. We decided she was not the right fit and dismissed her, however our wedding was now 6 weeks away with no planner/coordinator and I was FREAKED out. Lauren and I have been friends since high school and literally 30 minutes after we dismissed “the best” wedding planner, an idea popped into my head of asking Lauren. Not only was Lauren thrilled but she always wanted to coordinate a wedding, I was so relieved. Lauren handled all of the major movements for us, she coordinated with all of our vendors and the venue. She also organized and led the wedding rehearsal the night prior. On the day of our wedding, she was up bright and early setting up the hall and coordinating everything. I promise you that this is an unbiased review and I am not just talking her up because she is my friend. Lauren made our wedding day run smoothly and I would highly recommend her for any of your wedding needs.
Amber was a great help to us on our wedding day. She was affordable, but she was also experienced and made sure to follow through with our plan as we wanted. It's hard doing everything by yourself on the big day so I definitely recommend her to be your go-to person!
We could not be happier with our experience working with Leigh! My husband and I decided to do a destination wedding in Austin, and had only been to the city one other time before. Leigh after a couple get-to-know you calls hit the nail on the head when it came to selecting venues, photographers, officiants, etc. There was a "natural instinct" choice for everything. Over the course of our 6 months working with her, she kept us on track (kind of a big deal as we are so laid back we're in a different timezone), provided detailed timelines, and handled most vendor communication. Most importantly, she ensured that the "big day" ran perfectly. At the end of the experience, we felt like we had a great planner and new friend. I would recommend Leigh with no hesitation.

Calah is a planning/spreadsheet genius. She helped me organize everything from my wedding budget to all of my ideas and choices for every detail leading up to the wedding. She also did an incredible job with putting together the bouquets for my wedding party and myself! I didn't want to deal with real flowers for us because I had dealt with oil and water getting on the dresses before, so she suggested that I used fake flowers. I don't have a creative bone in my body so I let her take the lead on this and she went and bought everything and put together the bouquets and they were beautiful! So we ended up doing the same for the boutonnières and corsages.
