It was my first time using Thumbtack - My wife and I decided to look for a personal trainer. After going thru some choices that were narrowed down to our liking, we shot off rate/quote request to about 5 personal trainers nearby. To start off, what I liked about Zak was that I got a call from him IMMEDIATELY. Showed that he was serious, so I took the call and had a brief discussion on what we were looking for. Moving on to first meeting.. First meeting was free and during that time, he really took the time to get to know our needs, strengths, study our posture and make corrective suggestions. After the session, prices were discussed and on we go. There you have it - Simple, no hassle or obligation to we were signed up for his training. For people who are looking for a personal trainer, I know this can be a virgin territory. It certainly was for us. Zak understood that and took us from the basics. He offers nutrition programs (which is included in the rate for training - Can't be that). Nutrition program is designed for each individual and not that one plan fits all. My workouts are far different from my wife's workout. He has tremendous knowledge in what he is doing and is a dedicated student in learning more himself. Very respectful and a humble individual he is. We get weighed in end of every week and progress is recorded. You can really tell that he cares for your goals and not like other trainer that I've heard horror stories about, who only care about the money. With Zak, you are not just his paycheck - he truly cares for the well being. Zak being a powerlifter, he has shared many tips on better posture, better workout, and muscle recovery remedies. It's unusual for me to write a review online for anything, but when I know that I'm working with the best and with a person who is honest and genuinely cares for people, the least I can do is to pay it forward and let everyone know about what Zak has to offer. Cody is the best trainer ever. He pushes me, and challenges me. He is always positive and fun. Cody is patient and always educates. He is very smart and knows his stuff. Cody listens to your goals and sets clear objectives on how to obtain them. I would recommend him to anyone!

Personal Trainer, Fran Erlich, is the best kept secret in the DFW. Hands down!! I've been working out with Fran for about six years now and continue to be amazed with the workout programs she comes up for me. I worked out for years before I met her but Fran helped me put it all together...weights, cardio, and my diet. and I've never looked back. She's very hands on. Evan, Joey and Ted are GREAT trainers! Each one of them knows how to motivate you to give your maximum effort during a workout. Workouts are challenging and fun, and you NEVER do the same workout twice. I had numerous schedule changes over the summer and was able to train with each of these instructors, so I know they will all get you results! Class sizes are small and the rates are affordable. I highly recommend Tough Fitness!
Marvin offered personal training at the office building I worked in this was extremely convenient for me because I didn't have to drive to gym and it did not interfere with family time. Also as a new mom, I was looking for a trainer that would be patient enough to allow me to get back into a fitness routine - but at the same time, keep me on track with my goals. Marvin delivered on both! I found Marvin to be knowledgeable and thoughtful when he created my fitness plan. Things worked out so well for me, that I told my colleagues at work about working out with Marvin - they decided to join me for the lunch hour work out sessions and we got fit together!
Ryan was my personal trainer for several years. I felt that I needed a trainer to 1) keep me motivated, 2) teach me how to use the equipment since I had not ever worked out before and 3) help me learn and understand all of the requirements to build and maintain a strong, healthy body. Ryan met all those goals. During my time with Ryan, I got much stronger, I learned technique, and always stayed motivated. What kept me working with Ryan is that during our sessions, he was 100% focused on me and my workout. (In my years in the gym since, I've seen way too many trainers use their cellphones while they were training someone, and it appeared that their client came second.) Ryan was 100% positive all of the time. If he ever had any personal or professional issues, he never showed it around me. Ryan is very knowledgeable about kinesiology, the human body and he understands what technique(s) will provide the best results. He was always changing the workout routine to ensure constant muscle growth. I also relied upon him to assist with nutritional requirements. My time with Ryan was some of the best years in terms of rewarding physical growth. I have since moved to another state, otherwise I would most likely be working with him again.
Starting to work out again at the age of 52, I was looking for someone who understood changes the body made over time. Danny is very knowledgeable regarding the human body and has the experience needed to give me specific and necessary instructions. He responded to my needs immediately and with genuine concern. Danny is both personable and professional. I would recommend Danny to anyone looking for a personal trainer
I would HIGHLY recommend this gym and the trainers for anyone at any fitness level! It's the best deal you'll find anywhere for personal training and it's legit. Fitness has always felt like a chore to me, but this is the first time that I'm actually excited about it and look forward to my workouts. Great people/atmosphere, flexible with scheduling, and very knowledgeable staff. They know their stuff and make it fun! I NEVER write reviews for anything, but this is worth telling people about. Try it out, you won't regret it.
Patty has been amazing with her ability and skill set to prepare and analyze my personal training. Her commitment to not only listening to me, her knowledge base in proper form, evaluating my potential and taking the time to stop me to ensure I understand and pushing me are terrific. Her communication, preparation, professionalism and passion for her craft are evident in each of our sessions. I am thrilled with my improved strength and the fact I look forward and enjoy each session is a key component for me. I would highly recommend Patty.
Chad Cannon has been an excellent personal trainer. He is very knowledgable on workouts and nutrition. The exercises he has shown me are challenging but definitly do-able. I would reccommend hiring Chad if you want a trainer that makes your workouts suvcesssful and enjoyable!
Jamie was my trainer for many years. She is very professional. She was always prepared and frequently adjusted our workouts based on my current goals. After working with many personal trainers during the last 10+ years, I can confidently recommend her as an excellent personal trainer.
Liz was my personal trainer for approximately a year. She kept me motivated, always changed up our workouts and tailored our sessions around what worked best for me and where I wanted to see improvement. There was never a dull moment and she was great at pushing me to do my best! She has made me want to work out. I'd recommend her to anyone who wants to see change!
I hired Stephen as my personal trainer and I can’t say enough positive things about him. He is very high energy and just what I needed as a trainer to push me and teach me about proper form and technique. He is very educated on nutrition and physical fitness! He emphasizes proper nutrition and we discuss meal plans daily to help me lose weight quickly. Every session I get a great workout, feel wonderful after and I have honestly seen results in about two weeks considering the training I am doing with Stephen and the diet he has put me on. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TRAINER TO ANYONE! At a very competitive hourly rate, you can’t ask for a better experience. I will continue to use this service for the rest of the year….5 STARS!!!!!
