About

Mr.Furdyna is a very talented Pianist who happens to be a very excellent teacher as well. Both of my sons currently take piano lessons from Liam and although both have very different learning styles (one has ADHD and one is G.T.) he has been flexible in catering to their unique learning styles. He is easy to get a hold of and is flexible in rescheduling and doing make up lessons.

Miriam is the definition of a teacher. Her zealous attitude towards your curriculum incites passion for learning. Your material is tailored to your speed and future goals. This is what I love about learning piano from Miriam. If you are struggling with concepts, it will be addressed in the assignments. If your goals require a certain specialization, like speed or stamina, new exercises can be added. If you hire her, you sign up for an adaptable curriculum that makes the process of learning piano more personal.

Having already taken basic piano lessons, I went to Richard seeking help understanding how to start writing my own music. Richard was exceptionally helpful in this regard, because he has a lot of experience in improvising and he was able to teach me in an incredibly simplistic manner. I walked away from the lesson with a better understanding of how the chords harmonize together, and what to work on so that I can improve my playing performance. I would highly recommend Richard to anybody who is interested in learning to play or improve.

About

Mr. Long has been a wonderful inspiration and teacher to my daughter, Mahala. She is 16 and started piano lessons last year with with him. She has made tremendous progress. He has been willing to accommodate her band schedule by occasionally switching lesson days or times. I would recommend him to all students from the beginner to advanced.

About

We selected Richard to teach piano to our teenage son, Mason. He has done an amazing job. Mason could already read music since he's in choir, but he had never played an instrument. In just a few months, Mason is playing with both hands and is learning to improvise. Richard teaches him theory and the basics of different styles like rock, jazz and classical. Mason's favorite thing about his lessons is that Richard makes them interesting. I had my doubts that Mason would stick with piano. I think he is successful because of Richard's style and personality.

Our son had been taking piano lessons for 2 years prior to taking lessons with Phil. He has learned more in this past year than in the two previous years combined. Our son enjoys Phil's sense of humor and teaching style. We are looking forward to another great year! Thank you Phil

About

I am an adult student and have been taking piano lessons from Mark for a little over a year now. I took lessons as a child and then tried to pick it back up a few years ago but, while I wanted to learn to play, the lessons did not hold my interest. I decided to try again and came to Promethean. I realized then what a difference the right instructor makes. Mark's teaching is not "one size fits all". He makes the effort to get to know you and figures out how to challenge you in a way that helps you grow and feel proud of your accomplishments. I have learned so much in the past year and am really enjoying the experience.

About

My daughter began taking piano lessons from Dallas Music Academy 2 years ago when she was 6 1/2 years old. Her ability to read music, play the piano, and understand the theory part since beginning the lessons are incredible. Her teachers, Dr. Tolosa and Raquel Rigotti, are extremely talented and gifted teachers who show patience and encouragement to their students. They have high expectations of their students which is a great advantage. We are very pleased with our daughter's progress and look forward to her future musical accomplishments as a result of her ongoing training at Dallas Music Academy.

Mark is really talented at his craft. By my second lesson, I was playing piano with both hands. The book he uses teaches you how to play by learning the chords rather than disecting the sheet music to see each and every single note (learning the classical way can be quite daunting and frustrating).I'm already learning my second piece of music in only 3 lessons!! As I do have a great musical foundation, this may come a little easier to me than for those who've never read or learned to sight read music at a fast pace, but Mark is a great teacher. He is able to respond to my questions via texts and email pretty quickly so that I may resume practice when I do happen to get stuck. Thank you Mark!!!

Melissa is not only a sweet woman who is a joy to be around, but she is also a very talented artist and teacher. I took piano lessons from her, and she was so patient with me. It didn't take long to progress under her teaching. I would recommend her to my family and friends and any one wanting to learn piano and voice from an expert!

Prudence is a gifted musician and a phenomenal teacher. She is a sensitive and insightful "student" of her students, able to creatively challenge them to do their best. I have two daughters (age 9 and 6) who take lessons from Prudence and who are very different in almost every way imaginable. But every week, Prudence assesses what each one needs to progress in her piano studies - when to push, when to hold back or focus on encouragement. I also appreciate her balanced approach to recitals and competitions, and they way she incorporates music theory and history into her lessons. From a pedagogy standpoint, I could not ask for a better teacher to teach my kids piano. But more importantly, Prudence inspires her students to love music and find joy in their playing. That is a gift that will last for a lifetime.

Dr. Bob Lawrence is an outstanding musician and teacher of music. I have been studing piano with Bob for two years. He is very good at teaching the technical aspects of playing the piano, but more importantly he teaches the theory behind what you are doing so you have a complete understanding of what you're learning and why you were learning it. I would highly recommend Dr. Bob Lawrence and the Dallas School of Music for anyone that wants to learn music whether they are a beginner or advanced.
