I received services from Mr. Herrera at the end of March. I know I'm a little late with my review, but I definitely want to acknowledge his services. I would recommend his service to my family and friends. The previous appliance repair company I found for my washer quoted me an outrageous price. He came on time, as well as quoting me a very reasonable price. He found the part I needed the same day, and also fixed my washer that day as well. I would definitely use his services in the future. Thank you Mr. Herrera!

They were courteous, prompt, friendly and professional. They replaced the compressor and started on my refrigerator. They did have to come back the next day as it was not cooling, but they did come right back out, found the problem, and got it going. Has been working great! I intend to have them back out to look at my over, washer, and dryer.

I scheduled an appointment with Robert's Appliance Tuesday, June 19, 2018 to discuss repairing my rattling 12 year old Maytag Heavy Duty Dryer. Robert the owner contacted me 45 minutes to arrival and did show up on time. After he discovered the problem Robert informed me that he would be able to repair the dryer but needed to get the correct part from the store. He quoted me a reasonable price and I decided to move ahead with the repairs. Robert says he would be able to return the next day with the new part to repair the dryer. Wednesday, June 20, 2018 Robert called me 30 minutes to arrival to repair my rattling dryer with the new part. It took him 20 minutes to remove the old part and replace it with the new part. After Robert left my home, I washed some laundry in the washer-machine and moved them over to my repaired dryer. Works FINE!!! Dryer sounds QUIET again and the laundry is completely dry. I am a very satisfied customer of Robert's Appliance.

Unfortunately he could not completely fix the problem because my washer is very Old & they do not make the part any more. It washes but I will have to watch that it doesn't over flow.again. He will be doing some electrical work for me next.

Jesse came over for the estimate within hours of my request. He looked at our dryer and confirmed our theory that the motherboard was dead. He quoted a price for parts and installation that was the same as what we had seen the part itself quoted for online so we of course chose to go with his professional installation. He was able to get the part within 3 days (very important when you're without a dryer) and installed it quickly for us. The dryer is back up and running. I will definitely be selecting Kingo for my future appliance repair needs.

David is awesome. he is honest as the day is long. fair priced, speedy and polite, and he really tries hard to save you excess expenses. He researches and thinks about the best most economic way to repair your appliance. He knows everything can fix anything. all my appliances are old, old and I have a child in college. If it were not for his skill I'd be sunk financially. my washer dryer and oven ( all very old) have all broken in the past 2 years. He has repaired them all! I can not sing his praises enough. don't call anyone else!

I was in search of someone who could perform routine maintenance on my washer & dryer. There was nothing broken, just want to keep my machines running well. Brian arrived when he said he would, was thorough, explained what he was checking (and why), gave me some expert tips and let me know what to look out for. I will definitely call him again and will recommend him to others.

I had contacted robert through a friend that had previously used him for a refrigerator repair. We set up a date an time, he called as he was on his way, early I might add. He was very quick to determine the problem and gave me a full estimate, I asked him to do the repair. He works pretty fast, within 15 minutes my washer was working again, and I was happy to pay. Overall, I would definitely use him again.

Jesse completely went out of his way in order to ensure that I would have the best experience possible considering the mess that the manufacturer had put me in. He personally handled the problem with them for me and then did a very meticulous job replacing our AC unit in the house. Very friendly and extremely professional. Pricing was also very competitive. They are passionate about their business and you can tell right away by the quality of their work. Very highly recommended.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does refrigerator repair cost?

Refrigerator repair generally costs a fraction of the price of a new fridge and shouldhave your appliance up and running again in no time. The problems your refrigerator is experiencing and the parts required to fix it will affect your repair costs. Where you live can affect labor rates, which will raise or lower your costs. Here are some examples of average costs:

    • Diagnostic fees: $50-$100. Repair pros often have a service call fee or diagnostic fee to account for their time traveling to your location with all their tools to assess the problem. If you choose to have them repair the fridge, most pros then credit this fee toward your repair cost.
    • Parts: $20-$500. A new compressor averages $200, an icemaker $300, and computerized components such as touch screens and control boards average $300 or more.
    • Basic repairs: $180-$400, including parts. This price range can include repairing the evaporator or fan motor.

    How long do fridges last?

Refrigerators can last 10 to 20 years, although the most common lifespan is about 13 years. If your fridge is acting up, consider its current age when deciding whether to invest in repairs or buy a new one. Common easy fixes include faulty thermostats, dirty coils and clogged drain lines. Thermostats and dirty coils can be generally be fixed for an average cost of $80-$100. Clogged drain lines, which usually cause leaks, can often be fixed for under $200.

More complex refrigeration repairs such as replacing a bad compressor or replenishing low refrigerant can cost more because of expensive parts and higher labor. A new compressor costs an average of $200, not including labor. If labor is an average of $75-$100 per hour, and the repair takes 3 hours, you’re looking at roughly $500. Consider the age and purchase cost of your fridge; investing $350 in a $600 fridge that is 8 years old may not be cost-effective.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
