What do you love about your job?
There is so much to love about this job. I love the fact that I get the opportunity to not only motivate people through fitness, but to see their lives changed for good. Many people I have worked with come to me struggling and feeling down, and I get to see them improve and turn everything completely turn around. There is no better feeling than knowing you have made someone healthier, more confident, and happier, and helped in instilling life-long healthy habits within them.
Who inspired you to start your own business?
I was inspired to start my own business because personal training is a very individualized matter and working for a gym can somewhat stifle that relationship. It is important to me to not only provide a very personalized experience, but to make it as affordable as possible. I have also recognized that many people who are starting out towards their fitness goals are intimidated by a gym environment and I like to prevent that by keeping a small, personal studio-type venue.
I have wanted to manage myself because I feel that I can be most efficient with my time when I know what needs to be done and prioritized. There's nothing more important to me than keeping the client motivated and seeing the results they want; and with my own business, I am able to accomplish this much more efficiently, all the while keeping the client comfortable in a smaller, personal environment.
