Good experience to help my son get through some difficult math!
If you need a tutor who truly understands the subject and can teach exactly the way you like to be taught, look no further. I have never learned so much from any professor I’ve had all of college. I would highly recommend this tutor for all academic needs. I completely aced my classes because of him!! Thanks!!
If you need help with something basic that you feel like you should already know, Gordon will help you grasp those concepts to keep moving forward. And for those needing help with much harder or advanced classes, Gordon helped me understand complex problems and always provided simple explanations. He is always willing to assist and has done an excellent job as a tutor
She is great!!! She tutors my little sister Irene. Irene was failing math with an F and Brianna came and helped her so much. Irene has an A in math and is starting to like Math again and has been doing great since Brianna has started tutoring her. Brianna has been Absolutely great!!!
Michael Owens helped me with a lot of things. He initially helped me with preparing to take the GED test. I lived in Detroit, Michigan and he took about 3 months helping me. He gave me the confidence that I needed to succeed. I was impressed with how thorough Mr. Owens was with me. He was always punctual and expected the same out of me. He insisted that I did not allow myself to feel inadequate as most inner-city youth do. Mr. Owens went above and beyond tutoring me to also help me prepare for college (thanks to passing the GED test) by preparing me to take the ACT test, helping me fill out university applications and proofreading my essays. I was accepted into a university where I now have a 3.9 GPA. I fully endorse his tutoring services. He is attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful. He will make sure that you succeed. and he will push you to see your potential. He is approachable and a great listener. I find no faults with his teaching style as he encourages and expects you to ask questions.
Arafat of an excellent tutor for my high school student--both for the ACT and for general pre-college gap assessment and review.
Great support and encouragement from Garret!
As a teacher, it's my job to enable every student to achieve his or her full potential. Every student is different; some students need a small boost, while others need to build from the ground up. I'm very patient and thorough, and I identify and improve areas of weakness while building relationships and making learning fun. I tutor in a wide range of subject areas, but my specialties are Math, Physics, and Study Skills. Many people underestimate the value of teaching study skills; I see many students who have become discouraged because they work hard but lack time management and organizational skills. With a little bit of guidance, these students can see their hard work finally begin to pay off. Whatever your situation may be, I'm here to help. In my experience as a tutor, I've seen some amazing outcomes. I have experience teaching all levels of math, science, study skills, and standardized testing at the college, high school, middle school, and elementary school levels. I'm a certified instructor at Sylvan Learning Center, where I worked for a year in Boston. I have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a Mathematics minor from the University of Massachusetts. I graduated from the honors college at UMass with top Latin honors (Summa Cum Laude) and a 3.83 GPA. I'm now attending the University of Utah to get my Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering. My math and science students greatly appreciate that I have a practical understanding of how to apply these concepts to research and design, and they enjoy when I'm able to give real-world examples and applications.
I am proficient in Math skills including grade school Math, Algebra I & II, Geometry, honors Math, and Statistics. I am very interested in health care and have knowledge in Biology, Medical Anatomy and Physiology, as well as basic Chemistry. I am trained in self- defense karate, a black belt, have 11 years experience, and I am willing to teach. I can help you with my following qualities: * Love working with children * Patient and Communicative * Willing to help with homework as well as new concepts * Willing to help students reach their goals
I don't have a registered business, but I'm wanting to offer my tutoring services to those who could use an experienced math, science and engineering tutor.
I tutor all ages in math, science, reading and writing. I am easygoing and very patient, and I can make you laugh when you get frustrated. I also think creatively to come up with ways to help you grasp the concept. I had one mother - who was an elementary teacher - call me a saint because of how I helped her 3rd-grade son. They were both nice, but she just couldn't get him to understand. I did! I'd love to help you, too.
Build confidence in academics! I will help any student, in any grade, build confidence in his or her academics. I work with students from grade school through to high school. Contact me today to set up your first appointment! I will travel to you!
I have a Bachelor's degree from Utah State University in Elementary Education along with a level 3 math endorsement meaning I am qualified to teach all math levels up to Algebra 2. I am also in Grad school right now working towards my masters of education in Secondary Education. I am currently a middle school teacher with four years of experience. I have experience teaching Pre-Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 to grades 6-9. I am located in North Salt Lake and am conducting tutoring sessions in the evening. To avoid scheduling conflicts, I am currently requesting that sessions be held in a centralized, public location. Schedule permitting, I would be willing to travel for tutoring sessions. I am available for short-term or long-term tutoring. However, I feel that long-term tutoring is most effective because this allows me to fully assess the needs of the students I am working with. This also allows me to better solidify concepts and help with questions as they arise.
I have been raised in the special education world. In many ways I am a "purist" I want what is going to be best for the child. If I know that a particular resource is going to help one child then I will purchase that resource. I am creative and have come up with new techniques, strategies, and interventions that help children who have previously had little to no success. I research many things from special education to motor skills, sensory, speech and language, social, emotional, and behavioral. I have found that everything ties together. The more skills you can target at one time the better chance you have of achieving success for the child.
I am a secondary math teacher and tutor. I love working with students one-on-one to help them gain the confidence and abilities to succeed.
Experienced teaching math from high school to college
I am a multi-subject tutor who is passionate about bringing the fun back into learning. I know what it is like to dread doing homework and dread going to class, but I have found passion in my own studies and hope to give that love of learning to others through my tutoring. I received full tuition scholarships to Utah Valley University and Southern Utah University. I have received 'A' letter grades in many college level courses including: Math, Chemistry, Biology, Anatomy, English, and more. I offer competitive tutoring rates, and would be thrilled to work with you.
I offer online tutoring. I have 26 years of experience in teaching. Many of these include subbing in all different subjects. I also have 25 years of experience as head of a county office for the USDA.
I have a math education degree from BYU, and I taught one year at a public high school. I love to help people, and this is one of the reasons I chose to go into teaching. I feel like I can make a difference in my students' lives by making math accessible to them.
I love to teach math; it is the best subject in the world to teach. Most people hate math, but I can make it the funnest ever for you.
