Started guitar lessons a couple of months ago and couldn't be happier. I was self taught and played by ear. Didn't feel I had time for lessons. But, I was missing a lot of the fundamentals. The lessons have started to fill in the gaps and I'm learning a lot faster than before. I wish I started these lessons a couple of years ago. And way too easy taking these lessons at my place. Highly recommended!
I've had about 6 lessons with Mary on guitar and have thoroughly enjoyed them. She has a great eye for details in technique thats very important in a guitar teacher to keep you on track. I also like the way she builds the skills on top of each other while not trying to do this be repeating the same song until perfect. This is an excellent way to keep the student engaged while building the technique that will be needed. I also like that she is not locked in to a particular dogma. For example, I'm a pretty large person and we needed to adjust my posture from the standard classical guitar posture. She was able to articulate the general principles that one wants to achieve in their posture and use those principles to help me find a posture that works for my body type. In summary. I would gladly recommend Mary to friends wanting to learn classical guitar.
I always wanted to learn to play guitar, and tried several times to teach myself without success. The idea of taking guitar lessons was super intimidating to me, but I decided to give it a shot, and I'm so glad I did. Ryan is an amazing instructor. His passion for teaching is obvious, and I feel like I learned so much from him in a short amount of time. He addresses all the things any new player faces such as a lack of confidence and bad habits. Right away I felt comfortable and encouraged, and I looked forward to lessons every week. The lessons motivated me to want to practice and work through everything I was learning, and they were always fun. Ryan has a great sense of humor and a knack for using pizza metaphors to explain music theory :) I can't say enough great things about my experience, and I encourage anyone considering lessons with Ryan to definitely go for it. You won't be disappointed.
Ken is nice and responded very fast to my questions, I purchased guitar lessons for my son birthday, and he was very professional about it.
Ed Carlson is a great teacher. He is always punctual . When you have any difficulty in playing any tune or chords,he Works hard with you to learn. My son is learning guitar from him since 1 month and he throughly enjoys it..
Jonny has been giving my daughter guitar lessons for 2 months now and we love him! He's patient and fun and really brings out the best in his students. He's also flexible on our lesson schedule which in these busy times is definitely a plus! We look forward to many more lessons with him.
Started taking singing lessons with Maddy as a complete beginner. She's been so kind, patient, and supportive and is wonderful about explaining how the voice works. I highly recommend her!!
My daughter and I decided to take guitar lessons together, we were fortunate that Neal was contacted on our behalf and he immediately made a connection with us both and our one hour lessons each week ensued. We progressed from acoustic to electric, from Albert King, Taylor Swift, ZZTop, to the Beatles what a great musical journey for my daughter for over three and a half years. Heck we even played Don't Stop Believin' in a recital together!!! Great times, great music teacher, real human being; I wholeheartedly recommend Neal to anyone desiring guitar lessons for any genre of music, and any age group! Andy T.
I am an adult, professional, working full time and raising two teenagers. I have been taking acoustic guitar lessons from David O'Suna for the last year. I have progressed from beginner, with some prior musical experience, to being able to play hundreds of songs. David has been low-key, encouraging and able to challenge me to build on my skills every week. His teaching style is very adaptable and his knowledge and interests are wide ranging. He has been an excellent resource.
Great first lesson as a new guitar player. Edgar is professional and talented. I'd definitely recommend working with him if you're in the market for a guitar teacher.
My 11-year-old son has taken 2 1/2 years of guitar lessons with Bob, and he's still as excited as when he started, if not more so. Bob balances what my son would like to learn with what he needs to learn--blending fun and cool with theory and practice in a way that challenges but doesn't overwhelm. Plus he's a delightful person. We've had an excellent experience with Bob and highly recommend him.
Since January 2014, I have been studying guitar with David in a weekly group improvisation ensemble. We play well-known rock and blues tunes. Playing in this group under David's leadership has greatly improved my confidence and ability to play rhythm guitar, and also to improvise melodies using minor and major scales over chord changes. David provides a very supportive atmosphere for playing creatively, and every session is fun and inspiring. I always leave feeling motivated to practice during the week on my own. David is also a master of working patiently with a variety of musical skills and abilities among our group members, and helping the group listen to each other and encourage each other. I highly recommend David as a guitar teacher for both private and group study.
I was in search for a teacher who could offer the technical knowledge of music theory, yet with a mastery in fingerpicking technique. Liam was the perfect teacher, given his academic studies and years of playing genres of guitars. He is really positive, patient, and is constantly aware of the nuances of learning a new instrument (markings of a great teacher). He kept it fun and time passed in a blink of an eye! Looking forward to moving from spanish guitar to electric in the coming year!
Outstanding guitar instructor! Jacob is very patient and easy to get along with. He's a fantastic musician and sincerely works to make sure that I stay interested and continue to get better. I would highly recommend him as a guitar, bass or drum teacher to anyone looking for music lessons!
Love this school! It's been great experience for both of my kids. We've been taking piano and guitar lessons for last 4 years
Three years ago I decided to fulfill a long standing fantasy - learn to play the guitar. I have been a Beatles fan since the early days and had always wanted to learn to play their songs. I had absolutely no experience with a guitar. I met C.W. and immediately I felt completely at ease with him and confident that he could teach me what I wanted to learn. He started teaching me the basics (best way to learn) and in a very short time I was strumming along with The Beatles! I'm not a "natural" guitar player but C.W. has turned me into a pretty good player! With his help, I can even play the lead guitar on songs like "Norwegian Wood," "Blackbird" and others. I look forward to my lessons with C.W., he makes it so much fun to learn! If you can get C.W. as your teacher, DO IT! You won't be sorry.
I have taken lessons from Bob Crow for the past five years, and I have nothing but great things to say about Bob, his teaching style, and all the great songs that I have learned. When I first started taking lessons, I was a competent flat picker (at best), but I could not finger pick, count times or take on challenging songs. Thanks to Bob's patient teaching style, I now regularly take onand masteradvanced-level songs.
We offer guitar lessons for players at any level. We have touring instructors and session musicians who are all able to help players at any level grow in their skills.
I have taught students, ages 6 to 60, beginner to advanced. I love to teach all aspects of the guitar, from rhythm to lead, finger dexterity and lots of practice exercises to help you be the guitarist you always wanted to be. My main focus is to teach the students the type of music they would like to learn and achieve their goals of learning certain songs or styles --rock, metal, blues, and country.
I let the students lead the lesson, I'll teach them the songs they want to learn and what you can take away from the song to make you a better musician.
My main goal is to find out where you are at musically, where you want to go, and finally customize a lesson plan to get you there smoothly and with a smile!
