I know all personal trainers care about their clients. I feel as though our personal trainers go the extra mile to make their clients feel important, engaged and accomplished. We allow a lot of flexibility with schedules and with the economy on a roller coaster, we allow different fee structures to fit everyones budget! It is all about our clients ALL of the time! That I get to wear gym shorts (shoes and shirts) and harass people all day long! People put their trust and safety in to our hands, and as that builds the workouts get more and more fun, challenging, complex and of course more effective!(show less)
Consistency in my work gets results. I make sure we take care of the body's correctional goals to help the body warm up before we get started in building muscle. Being detailed in my clients form will help them work the right muscles and not keep working the muscles that are already overcompensating. I am engaged throughout my clients whole session and I think that is the biggest characteristic that sets me apart from others. I love my clients when they see change not only physically but in their posture, confidence, and work performance.(show less)

I am not only certified in Personal Training, but also have my certification in Fitness Nutrition and Understanding Hormones. I have helped clients to lose weight, gain muscle and strength, increase their balance, alleviate IBS symptoms, and allergy symptoms. I have a holistic approach to my clients total overall wellness. I am very sensitive to my clients desires and have experienced the ups and downs of weight control. I love giving people hope. I enjoy working one on one, helping clients feel good about themselves again and giving them their confidence back. Living a healthy lifestyle is my passion and I know how hard it is to change habits. I try to work with my clients in behavior changes and get to the root of why we do things and help them to change the way they view themselves to a more positive mindset and work on behavior modification. I was named the 2015 #1 Thumbtack Personal Trainer of the year in Seattle, and recently named one of the top trainers in Seattle in 2016 by Thumbtack. After 9 years working as an Exercise Specialist, I still love what I do! I am a certified Functional Movement Specialist, Kettlebell, Barbell, Sports performance, and Conditioning Coach. My clients range from those working to improve body composition, endurance athletes, collegiate athletes, to more case sensitive students such as those with neuromuscular disease, joint replacement, chronic heart disease, current and past cancer patients, and more. I love watching my students progress. There is nothing more fun for me than watching a client take steps closer to their goal.(show less)

What is CATZ sports performance training? CATZ sports performance training is all about preparing the athlete for the physical demands of their sport. CATZ sports performance training is going to look at the strength and weaknesses of each athlete and create workouts that will benefit and enhance the athlete's fitness level. The goal of all CATZ sports performance workouts are to maximize conditioning and stamina, develop better balance and core stability and improve overall quickness. CATZ sports performance is training the way you play. Meaning, we don't use machines to get you fit; you get yourself fit. Every workout is different, to keep the athlete on their toes and ready to work hard each time they come in to train. By developing total body strength, this allows for injury prevention and transfer of ability out on the field. Each class has either 1 to 6 athletes. The duration of the workout is 1 hour long; athletes choose the day and the time they desire to train. This training will be harder and more specific than their sport practice. This is the training ground to getting better as an athlete. This is where athletes train. Note: Your performance coach will provide testing to help you track your progress. Sessions are completed in a group setting for scheduling efficiency and camaraderie, as well as providing peer competition. Maximum is 6 per group. CATZ sports performance athletes also have the chance to earn their CATZ t-shirts. These t-shirts are based on a progressive achievement program. CATZ sports performance is about training like sport! It's time to prepare to be great!(show less)
When I opened BodySchock Fitness, that was when I really decided to take the bull by the horns and go for it by offering my services to everyone and anyone regardless of shape, size, gender or age. It's never too late! You can hire me for Personal training or join a group at my club or at my home studio- I work around the clock so if Bellevue or Issaquah works for you lets chat and see if we are a good fit. My passion for the last 20 years has been health and fitness. The thought of helping people understand all the benefits of exercise and the positive effects it has on the human body makes me excited. I teach group fitness classes daily and train groups and individuals. I believe in functional training, which means exercising two to four muscle groups at a time. I love stability balls, bands, gliders, and weights for my clients. It never gets boring because I change things up all the time. I offer one-on-one training and small group training sessions at both my Bellevue club location and my Issaquah home studio location. I would love to work with you. Alison Schock(show less)
I start the process by assessing posture and upon analyzing posture if there are any issues or injuries we include rehabilitation into program. We scale progression to the persons ability and continue progress safely and allow body to adapt. Watching clients progress through their programs and seeing the changes. Changes from physical, to the ability to move properly, sports dominance, to self confidence and it's very fulfilling for me!(show less)

Intentional, focused and group or personal fitness instruction will be brought to your door with a heart to fit each individual's need. All levels are encouraged and welcome. Yoga * Step Aerobics Step aerobics is a form of aerobic workout distinguished from other types of aerobic exercise by its use of a step specific to this format. The height can be tailored to individual needs by inserting or removing risers under the step. Benefits Step aerobics helps burn calories and fat. It also helps to reduce stress, promote restful sleep, strengthen muscles and gives the body a more streamline appearance. The number of calories burned depends on the speed of movements, step height, and length of exercise. Exercise sessions can create social connections with others and as with other low-impact aerobics that is suitable for all ages and ability. * Circuit Training Circuit training is a form of body conditioning or resistance training using a combination of high-intensity, low-intensity and muscle endurance exercises. It targets strength building, cardiovascular and muscular stamina. An exercise circuit is the completion of a round of assigned exercises in the program. When the circuit is completed, participants begin the circuit for a second and third round. Circuits are designed for full body conditioning at the specific level of fitness for each participant. Benefits Circuit training has been shown to be the most time efficient way to enhance cardiovascular fitness and muscle endurance. Studies show that circuit training helps women to achieve their goals and maintain them longer than other forms of exercise or diet. * Boot Camp Boot camp classes are physical training program designed to build strength and fitness through a variety of intense intervals over an hour period of time. Intervals can include, but are not limited to dynamic stretching, running, lifting weights, pulling rubber TRX straps, pushups/sit-ups and plyometric activities. Sessions usually finish with yoga-type stretching. Benefits Boot camp classes help participants lose body fat, increase cardiovascular efficiency, increase strength, and help people get into a routine of regular exercise. It has long been known that regular aerobic exercise can help to reduce high blood pressure, hypertension and combat stress while improving one's mental health. Part of this is due to the release of endorphins, which act as a mood elevator. During the boot camp classes, a sense of team and camaraderie is formed, increasing the sense of accountability and competition. * Running Running is a form of exercise in which at regular points during the running cycle, both feet are off the ground. This is in contrast to walking where one foot is always in contact with the ground. Running classes vary between speeds, ranging from jogging to sprinting. Different speeds and distances are appropriate for different individual's health and fitness levels. For new runners, it takes time to get into shape. The key is consistency. Benefits Running helps with weight loss, improve cardiovascular and respiratory health, improve cardiovascular fitness, reduce total blood cholesterol, increase in metabolism, and strengthening of bones (and potentially increased bone density). Like all forms of regular exercise, running has been shown to strengthen immune system, improve self-esteem and can slow or reverse the effects of aging. * Weight Training Weight training classes use a weight to oppose the force generated by muscle through concentric or eccentric contraction to develop strength and larger skeletal muscles. Weight training targets specific muscle groups with specific exercises and types of movement. Benefits The benefits of weight training include greater muscular strength, improved muscle tone and appearance, increased endurance and enhanced bone density. Weight lifting and resistance training can also lead to a multitude of medical benefits, including reduced blood, increased bone mineral density and improved cardiovascular health. * Add-ons Corporate Wellness Program Do you have a corporate wellness program? Fitbiz would like to be a part of your program with our offerings. Bring Fitbiz in to your company and offer it to your employees as a benefit. Let us come and help create a culture of health within your workplace. A healthy workplace costs companies less each year in medical and lost days of work. We will work with your corporate wellness director to put things in place and customize it for your company. * Fitness Analysis and Goals Fitbiz offeres a series of exercises designed to determine an individual's level of fitness, primarily cardiovascular fitness and muscle performance. Fitness testing can be done before a program begins or any time a participant or group wants to re-evaluate their fitness and goals. The main tests in our fitness assessment evaluate body mass index, resting heart rate and blood pressure, aerobic and muscle fitness. Body Mass Index (BMI) is one of the least demanding fitness assessment tests. It evaluates a person in terms of their height and weight to determine total body mass. It can show if a person's body mass measurement exceeds normal limits and thus, indicates that weight loss would be a good idea. BMI alone is usually not thought to be the best measure of physical fitness. Someone who is very muscular may have a higher BMI than is considered normal because muscle weighs more. A true measurement of a body's fat content may be better obtained through hydrostatic weighing which assesses the body's composition more exactly. * Nutritional Therapy Support Get support by scheduling an appointment with our nutritional therapist. We work closely together to make sure you are meeting your fitness goals. We do the following: * Assessment of your current nutrition status using functional testing and an in-depth questionnaire * Food Journal Analysis * Recommendations and recipes for gradual changes towards the eating * Education on proper food preparation and kitchen tips to make it manageable * Continued support via phone and e-mail(show less)
Well for starters, there's a reason that they call Quentin "The Transformer". He really can transform your body. I am total "Type A", perfectionist, control freak and I've always been athletic (ballet and soccer) and a ftness freak. I've always worked out with the best trainers and I was blown away after working with Q. I've had 2 serious car accidents so I can't workout like I once did but he understood my limitations and still gave me a run for my money. The sad part for me is that I moved from Seattle and nobody else compares. As soon as I am back in Seattle though, he's my guy!!!!!!!!(show less)
