neal is fantastic guitar teacher and musician. anybody, no matter age or experience, would be lucky to take lessons from him. i've only had one month with him, and my understanding of guitar has shot through the roof. he has a deep understanding of music theory and can break down any confusion i have. his passion and exuberance inspire me and make every lesson a joy. the only regret i have is that i'm leaving seattle and won't be able to continue lessons. i can't imagine how much i would learn and improve in just one year with him.

Keith is friendly, knowledgeable and demonstrates patience while teaching guitar to a 7 year old beginner. Our son is having fun learning to play and we like the convenience of having the lessons in our home.

I had one 1-hour guitar lesson with Curt and it was a good experience. He clearly knows his stuff. He listened well and took the time to get a sense of where I'm at. After playing some he gave me some exercises that I think will be very helpful. I will be going back for more lessons.

Jacob is a warm, patient, and friendly teacher and he makes lessons relaxed and fun. He's a talented and knowledgeable musician who lets the student set the course and the pace. I've taken lessons from other people in the past, but never made as much progress as I have with Jacob in just a few short weeks. I look forward to my lessons with him. I highly recommend him as a guitar instructor.

Stevie is an excellent teacher. He took the time to understand what my objectives and goals were for learning the guitar and from there, created a curriculum to guide me towards that direction. A great teacher and I would highly recommend taking lessons from him!

I always wanted to learn to play guitar, and tried several times to teach myself without success. The idea of taking guitar lessons was super intimidating to me, but I decided to give it a shot, and I'm so glad I did. Ryan is an amazing instructor. His passion for teaching is obvious, and I feel like I learned so much from him in a short amount of time. He addresses all the things any new player faces such as a lack of confidence and bad habits. Right away I felt comfortable and encouraged, and I looked forward to lessons every week. The lessons motivated me to want to practice and work through everything I was learning, and they were always fun. Ryan has a great sense of humor and a knack for using pizza metaphors to explain music theory :) I can't say enough great things about my experience, and I encourage anyone considering lessons with Ryan to definitely go for it. You won't be disappointed.

I've only had a few lessons with Jacob so far but it has been great! I appreciate that he is willing to work with me on songs that I want to learn. Scheduling with him has been easy and flexible which is very important to me! He has a very easy going nature and obviously enjoys playing guitar and helping others learn. I'm looking forward to continuing my lessons and would recommend him to anyone!

super awesome guy. i felt very comfortable with Brandon right from the start when we met for coffee to discuss my experience-level, goals, etc. he's very flexible with your schedule providing lessons out of his home. i loved that he provided a guitar to use so that i didn't have to lug mine around every week. he'll be missed in Seattle but highly recommended for lessons wherever he resides. a couple things that could have gone better were preparation (remembering where we left off in the last lesson, having lessons already printed out, etc.) and schedule consistency. but I also feel that's what made him an even more fun instructor. and I wouldn't expect a consistent schedule from someone that performs live shows during the week let's be real

My 9 year old son has been working with Benjamin for a year. We have found Ben always patient, conscientious, and reliable. When my son chose to transition to learning electric guitar, Ben accompanied us on a weekend to pick out the new instrument. My son looks forward to his lessons with Ben, and we see him making great progress under Ben's guidance.

If you want a teacher that is honest about what he provides during his lessons rather than a teacher who promises you a lot of things just to get you into their first lesson, then Mike is the way to go. From the first time we gained contact with each other, I knew what I was going to get into during these lessons. He does not try to sugarcoat his expectations in the class and does not shy away from any hard questions. He answers these questions with great professionalism and genuine honesty. So all in all, whatever Mike says to you, I can guarantee it to be true. No scams with him! In terms of the lessons, whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced (I was intermediate), you can always take away something from the lessons not just as a guitarist, but as a growing musician. He follows your lead and teaches the lesson based on what you want from the class. Whether it be a practice structure, or just trying to learn a new song, make sure to know what you want when going in. Wish I could've continued, but it doesn't fit my budget at the mom. If you want an honest teacher and want to actually improve in your guitar skills instead of remaining stagnant, Mike is definitely the teacher that would push you!

I've gotten the opportunity to work with Mary after studying in a group lesson environment and on my own. Her attention to detail and rich knowledge of technique, theory, and history (of genres AND their masters) is exceptional! She's been very accommodating with my schedule and an absolute charm to talk to. Her skill and appreciation for guitar are clear and come out through her teaching style. I highly recommend her for instruction if next-level classical, folk, technique, or theory are goals you really want to push yourself towards.
