Faith is tutoring my child in 6th grade math. He communication is impeccable and she is prompt and on time. She came in with multiple tools and resources to help aide in the process. She is very personable with my child, always asking her things about her school life in general, not just the subjects they are working on.

As a more seasoned student, Faith has managed to make math simple. She was able to explain plots and equations in an easier manner. 1st session was great! Faith is giving me confidence in my math skills.

You can't ask for a better tutor than the one we got. We ended up doing in-home tutoring and the tutor was very kind and courteous and knowledgeable. You won't be disappointed!

Ayushe S. tutored my son Cory for the ACT and for biology, chemistry, and pre-calculus. He suffers from Asperger's Syndrome and has a great deal of trouble with social interaction. We had such trouble finding an appropriate tutor fit with him, but then we thankfully found Ayushe. She was patient, warm, and incredibly kind. Moreover, she was able to completely circumvent the symptoms of his syndrome and truly treat him as a person--this was unique to me, because everyone else just gets hung on on how he is different and often end up treating him very strange as a result. Ayushe did wonders with Cory because she was able to pinpoint and emphasize his learning style, manipulating common subject material into a form that was more digestable to him. He did great on all his tests and assignments for the high school science and math, and even raised his ACT score by 8 points! The best part of the ACT tutoring was that I didn't have to buy anything at all: Ayushe had practice tests, formula sheets, and basically everything Cory could have needed to raise his score. We actually tried All Pencils Down before we met her and he didn't really see much of a change. I think that is because most test prep companies tend to focus on teaching "test-taking strategies" that may or may not work for everyone in the class. Also, Cory has trouble speaking up when he is confused so even a small class of 15 people is too much for him when it comes to raising his hand and speaking up. So, tutoring was definitely the way to go. We tried a few different tutors before we found Ayushe. The other tutors were more like a resource for questions, which was a difficult approach for us since we weren't familiar with the test and didn't know exactly what questions to ask. These tutors were best for people who have test prep books, practice tests, etc., and just need explanations for math or science questions that are confusing to them. Ayushe worked better for us because she provided us with everything Cory needed and actually made a personalized timeline tailored to Cory's weaknesses and strengths on the ACT. So, the $40/hour for ACT tutoring was well worth it in the end--especially after all the dead-ends we met with! All in all, I'm very glad that Ayushe was recommended to us. Even though Cory will be finished with high school soon, I am confident Ayushe will keep up with him and maybe even help him when he gets to college if he decides to go with UAB! I am very happy with everything she has helped Cory with and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a tutor!

Distinguished Scholars Tutoring (Ayushe Sharma) helped me with chemistry, biology, and human anatomy over the course of 1.5 years. Ayushe was always punctual, patient, and prepared. She went back to the drawing board and taught me the fundamental science I was misunderstanding, and also used colorful illustrations and study guides to help me learn. She made everything fun (and even funny at times) and broke down challenging concepts so they were more relatable. I made an A in all 3 classes, which was a complete miracle! I owe it all to Ayushe and what an awesome tutor she is.

Results, results, results. Ayushe's weekly tutoring session raised my daughter's ACT score from a 19 to a 27. To boot, Ayushe was extremely outgoing and friendly, kept a flexible schedule for us, and the custom study guide was exactly what was needed to boost scores in the Math and Science sections. Every single area showed a big improvement on the final. Outstanding!!! Best tutor we have ever hired, you can be sure we will pass you on to friends. Thank you :-)

I recently needed a math tutor to help prepare me for a test to get into Graduate School. Finding Debbie was 'The Best' thing that happened to me! She was extremely flexible and professional and had such a peaceful/clear way of explaining problems to me. I had several 'light bulb' moments and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great math tutor!

I'm an 18-year-old girl, and I'm a senior in high school (graduating in June). I got a 680 on the math section of the SAT. I have minimal tutoring experience, so it will be a learning experience for me as well. I'll make the first lesson free with no obligation to continue. I'm just doing this because I'm bored and thought it might be a fun way to make a little cash. I'm a visual learner, so I like to explain things with pictures.
