I was hesitant to work with a certified personal trainer because I, like a lot of people, thought I can do this on my own. But working with Steve has helped me be more effective in my workouts and the results have been excellent so far. I'm consistently losing weight and for exercises I find uncomfortable he will adjust them for me so I can still get the same results with a different method. We are doing a lot of core work which I need and I feel better than I have in months. I would highly recommend working with Steve if you're considering treating yourself to a trainer. He has also overhauled my diet and has encouraged me to give up coffee (almost there!). He is knowledgeable and accommodating and your time will be used efficiently.
OMG!!! I don't think I can work with any other personal trainer. Baron and Marcos set a really high bar. I'm new to "getting fit" so I know absolutely nothing at all. I went on a lengthy email exchange with Baron before I started, and Baron was prompt and thorough with his responses. Never did he get frustrated with all the stupid, inane questions I threw at him. Marcos is an awesome trainer. Always on time, totally flexible, and quick to think on his feet to adapt the routine to my unfit body. I've only been six? sessions in, and already I'm seeing results. For example, I went from not being able to plank at all (soooooo embarrassing) to being able to plank for over a minute. Baron and team is probably the best value of all the trainers in the Bay Area. Considering that your trainer **comes to you** and brings all the necessary equipment for the session, I don't think ANYONE can beat their price.
After years and years of wanting to have a personal trainer, I always pushed it off. But something about turning 25 was a wake up call for me. So I made the plunge and did my research and looked into plenty of Personal Trainers but none of them really stood out. It wasn't until using this service and Anthony reaching out to me is a very fast manner that I took the opportunity to meet with him. Let's just say after a quick 15 min phone call and getting to know one another, I was hooked and ready to go. I started my training session on Monday and for someone who really hasn't stepped foot in a GYM or lifted weights, Anthony understands that and works to your level. During the 30 min workout (which felt longer at times haha) he was with me every step of the way, motivating and encouraging me to complete my sets. It has truly been the best investment I have ever made and look forward to accomplishing my goals. You won't go wrong with God's Gym & Anthony as your trainer. This guy knows his stuff!
I've worked with a few personal trainers over the years and I have to say that hands down, Evan is the best trainer I have ever worked with. I started working out with Evan over a year ago. I have chronic low back pain, and had just had a procedure that was meant to reduce swelling and allow me to exercise more and strengthen my core. I had been doing physical therapy for awhile, but found that the workouts were too mellow, and I didn't really notice any improvement in my core strength. My wife had actually been working out with Evan for a few months and she recommended I try a few workouts with him. Evan has been amazing. The workouts are intense and challenging. He focuses on doing intervals of a quick series of strengthing exercises, with a burst of cardio in between sets that keeps your heart rate elevated for the entire workout. Given my back issues, he is very good about checking in to make sure he is not stressing or straining my lower back (or any other injury I might have picked up). I have noticed dramatic improvement in my core strength and overall fitness in my time with Evan. He also has been willing to email me personalized workouts I can do on my own for days when I'm not working out him. I agree with all the other posts here -- 5 stars. Evan is great.
I would absolutely recommend Aaron. I reached out for a personal trainer to help me start running again after taking a long time off due to repeated injury. I had my first session with Aaron this week, and it was really great. We spent the first half hour chatting about my goals and history with running, and Aaron looked at my body mechanics. Aaron is very knowledgeable about the body, and was able to pick up on some subtle features to inform his exercise plan for me. Next, he spent an hour introducing me to some of the exercises and coaching me. He was very encouraging and easy to work with.
My experience with YouniquelyFit LLC is absolutely wonderful. Personal trainers are incredibly knowledgeable and very attentive to your needs. It is a great mix of professional skills and wonderful personalities.
I've worked with other personal trainers in the past. But my experience with John exceeded my expectations for several reasons. Upon meeting him I felt quickly at ease. He was able to quickly assess my physical ability and pushed me just enough past my comfort level. I had an amazing workout! He was very encouraging and positive towards me. It was very obvious he was extremely knowledgeable not only in training but he also came up with a detailed strategy to help me reach my fat loss goals especially with my nutrition. I feel very confidant in his ability to help me. I also know he will keep me free from injury. He exceeded my expectations. It was the best experience I've had with any personal trainer.
I have worked with many personal trainers over the years, but no one has delivered excellent results as consistently as Joe. I've lost weight, while actually enjoying the workouts! It is serious training that is 100% personalized to your body and goals. His private gym is a great environment to avoid the crowds and never feel intimidated. There's really no better investment you can make in yourself-- try a few sessions, and see for yourself! You won't regret it.

I recently moved to San Mateo. I was looking for an experienced personal trainer with a private gym and Kip was the guy. After I posted the search on Thumbtack, Kip quickly responded back with an offer and set up an trial training session with me. The trial went great, he pushed hard but was checking up on me from time to time to see if I needed a break or drink of water. I recommend anyone to sign up with him and try it out for themselves. Another thing I like about Kip is that he checks-up with you after the training to see how you feel and adjust the next session based on your response.
Santa Cruz Core Fitness + Rehab is the place to go! From the owner, Jaimi, to the receptionist, and trainers, they are all amazing and professional. They are very knowledgeable and make you feel really comfortable and positive. They are willing to work things out for you and your goals. I am just starting my fitness journey and I've never felt this great. And I've only been in for 2 training sessions. You guys need to check them out as they are expanding locations. They are now in Santa Cruz and Watsonville. You won't regret it! Also, the workouts are AMAZING!!!
He's very knowledgeable about health fitness and a certified trainer with years of experience. He helps you with nutrition and training. I was very skinny and he helped me put on 10lbs of lean weight. I saw immediate strength gains. He believes that health is very important so he charges much lower than trainers at commercial gyms. You won't be disappointed
I've been training with David for about 5 weeks now. I decided to train with David initially because I felt like he listened to my goals and he sounded like he had a lot of experience. He was the first person I interviewed but I remembered that he was the most humble and down to earth, and I had a feeling I'd be comfortable training with him. All the men trainers I interviewed talked to me like I had two brain cells, and I found David to be the most up front and honest. My goal is to lose weight, tone up and to strengthen my left shoulder for outrigger canoeing. So far, I am noticing a huge difference with my left shoulder. Its stronger and it no longer bothers me when I go paddling or perform certain exercises. Its still not 100% in strength but has gotten a lot stronger through training. All our sessions are pretty different and varied. I never know what to expect from David, which is good. I get bored at the gym because I love the outdoors, but David keeps it interesting. David pushes me when he thinks I'm slacking off, which often times, he is mostly right about.... I need someone to push me or I will slack off, which is probably a good reason to hire a trainer. David goes out of his way to make it work for his clients. He genuinely cares about his clients and loves what he does. I can tell by the excellent service he provides for his clients. My personal belief is that its important to practice what you preach, and David is a trainer that is in great physical condition, and knows what he is doing. I personally did not want to hire a personal trainer at the local gym that looked like they needed training themselves... I highly recommend David as a personal trainer. Due to his diverse background, I believe he would be a great fit for many.
Lala is fantastic! Very professional, knowledgeable, and committed, yet warm, compassionate, caring and supportive. I have researched and interviewed many personal trainers and Lala is by far the only one I trust to help me strengthen and heal my 48 year old body, so that I can continue my profession as a Registered Nurse after having a car accident and other back injuries. I don't just want to look good, but I want to feel great and strong! I have found the best and most experienced trainer to accomplish all of my needs and expectations! Thank you Lala <3
Mohamed is the best trainer I have ever trained with. I have trained with a number of other trainers before but no one as good as Mohamed. He genuinely cares about his clients and wants us to see results which is why he checks in daily to see how I am feeling. He is an all in one trainer, in the sense he not only helped me get fit physically but also helped me become positive/strong mentally. He saw that I was working out with him but was not happy mentally (job situation) but he helped me deal with it. He such a positive person with a lot to offer. His workouts are awesome, he challenges me every time I see him. I am doing workouts that I have never done before or even knew I could do. I definitely see a lot of results after I started working out with him. I would recommend him to everyone!
Cassie is an amazing personal trainer - she will help you reach goals that you never thought were possible. She also has a strong focus on nutrition which is always at least 80% of the goal. Cassie helped me lose 25+lbs and I've been able to maintain it. Train with her and listen to her, and follow everything she says down to every detail, and you'll get results - but remember you have to put in the actual work!
Will is the 3rd personal trainer I have had and is by far the best one for many reasons. He is reliable, fun, encouraging, professional, knowledgeable. I've been training with him for about 3 months 2x weekly. He's rarely duplicated an exercise and I always feel as though I had a great workout when I leave. I would highly recommend Will as a personal trainer!!
I had been dealing with knots in my upper back for the longest time and couldn't seem to fix it with my foam roller. The massage I received from Ben Lim was very relaxing and I felt a tremendous amount of relief in my upper back muscles! Very detailed oriented so my body felt great all round after the massage. Loved his attention to technique with the draping of the sheets and blanket and how he used it to add in stretches during the massage. He takes into account full consideration of your level of comfort through out the massage by checking in and asking about levels of pressure and if there are any areas of your body he should avoid or if there are any areas he should add more focus on. Not the biggest fan of my feet getting touched so It's great to know that he is a massage therapist who follows morals and ethical boundaries. Doesn't stop there, he's also a certified NASM personal trainer and also does correctional work with his senior clients so he was able to create a personal plan for me so that I know what muscle groups I need to strengthen and what stretches I should be doing. I would highly suggest to anyone that is finding complications with knots, sore areas, or stress levels to call up Ben Lim for his personalized massages!
Omar is the best trainer ever!! I workout with Omar for a couple months!!! He was amazing trainer, fun, and very open on what part of my body I would like to focus on!! I truly recommend him as a personal trainer! Looking forward to workout with you again
I hired Paul Fulcher as a personal trainer in order to reach my goal of losing 30lbs. Not only did I lose the weight, but he went above and beyond and taught me how to eat healthier and feel better about myself. He has a high level of energy but not overbearing! You will immediately notice his passion for fitness and sense of humor which fueled my motivation. Not only do you get results you gain a healthy lifestyle. Highly recommended!
I did lots of research on personal fitness trainers in the south bay area. I found Ron’s website, researched his training program and emailed him in regards to more information. He returned the email promptly and within the week we were meeting and discussing my goals and starting my training sessions the next week. Ron provides a complete package that is easy to follow yet aggressive to the goals that you are wanting. I have been with him for 9-weeks now and he has exceeded my expectations in a trainer. He is there by your side correcting your techniques; assist when needed but never lets you gives up. Each session he challenges you and provides positive reinforcements to keep you motivated. I am moving forward meeting my goals and Ron has helped provide me with that. Great trainer, very knowledgeable and a great mentor for getting yourself where you want to be physically and mentally. I would recommend him to anyone no matter what stage of fitness you are. He has set a great foundation for my future goal. Can’t thank him enough. If you need to improve your health and fitness Ron is your guy.
