OJ is 1 of the best personal trainers I've ever come into contact with. For starters, your initial meeting is a workout created to personalize your strengths and weaknesses for future sessions. Afterwards, he speaks with you regarding your target goals, time frame, ideal weight etc. Meanwhile, he's compiling a special profile just for you in his computer. He sends weekly updates on your progress like: body fat percentage and weight loss/gain. In addition, he also sends motivational text messages during the week. When I first decided to start working out with a personal trainer, I looked online for personal trainers in Pasadena. I ultimately decided to go with Hugo based on all of the positive reviews I read of him on here. Since the reviews initially helped me make a decision on choosing Hugo as my personal trainer, I just had to leave my own review. Before committing to train with Hugo, he offered me an introductory deal so that I could experience working out with him. The first couple sessions he evaluated my strength, endurance, and overall physical ability. Once my fitness level and goals were established, Hugo set up a training program and nutritional plan for me. He begins every session by explaining and demonstrating the exercises in the circuit. He also clarifies and demonstrates the importance of proper form, which makes it really easy for me since I'm a visual learner. At any point during the exercise if I forget to use proper form, Hugo reminds me and encourages me throughout. He is very good at helping me understand which muscles each exercise is working out. I like how during every session, he is focused, patient, and motivates me to make sure I'm giving it my all. His professionalism and friendliness make it all that much more of a positive experience training with him. I've been training with Hugo for about three months now, and I can say that I'm truly happy with my results so far. My strength and endurance have greatly increased since our first session. I've noticed my body fat decrease and my muscle mass increase. I also feel much better when I'm exercising and eating healthy, it has greatly helped with my anxiety. I definitely plan on continuing to train with Hugo. I'm excited to see how my fitness level and physique continue to progress. I'm glad that I chose Hugo as my personal trainer, it is obvious that he loves what he does and cares about his clients. First and foremost, I was very impressed by Hugo’s professionalism and care for his clients. He regularly would check in to make sure I was eating properly and meeting my cardiovascular targets. Wanna be a superhero? Training with Paul Harvey is better than gamma radiation or radioactive spider bites. After a lifetime of reading comic books and benching 135 pounds, I put myself through as much self motivated training as I possibly could. There were improvements but also serious stalls in progress and impenetrable plateaus. I could not get my size past 175 lbs and had average strength. Then at 41 years of age I opted for personal training. I had two simple goals: size past 180 lbs and improved strength across the board. Paul laughed at the first goal, and said no problem. I had my doubts because I had great trouble with gains. I blew past 180 lbs, at 2 years I was steady at 195 lbs, and last summer was 205 lbs. As for strength (and there are a lot of stronger people out there) I exceeded my expectations with a 310 pound bench, 495 pound dead lift, and pulling the entire stack on half a dozen different pieces of exercise equipment. Being a client of Paul's is fun, hard work, and motivating. I catch myself 'prepping' for my workouts in advance to make sure they go well. Now at 44 I get to feel like a superhero.

I have trained with Paul Harvey for 5+ years. I have been working with various trainers for 15 years total, and had never found one who understood my goals and knew how to achieve them. When I started with Paul I was 178 lbs. At 6'4" tall, that was very skinny. My goal was to put on lean muscle. I've added about 30lbs of lean muscle and have a six pack. Paul advises me on how to achieve my goals both inside the gym and at home. He is a smart guy and can carry on a conversation about more than just working-out. He makes me laugh and we have lively debates about current events. Even when I take the skills I've learned from him to my own solo workouts, I still never sweat as much as I do when I work out with Paul. He is a great motivator.

Jake helped me with training advice and nutrition advice when he used to live in the UK, before he moved to LA. His information has really helped me, both in terms of improving health and fitness levels. I randomly found EJ while walking through my community (and coincidentally on thumbtack..small world!) and I saw him training a mother and daughter. After exchanging info and then researching him more on thumbtack and the web, I decided to start training with him. The rest is history. I've since focused on boxing and Muay Thai mainly for self-defense and the cardio, and it's been working out really well. My power, speed, and stamina has improved significantly. I want to let each of you know what my experience has been with Dan. I turn 59 this year and I have worked out with a number of trainers over the years. I call them counters because that’s all they did for me. They counted and I did all the work…no results! Then I met Dan in January of this year. I did the genetics testing as he recommended. Once I received the results he explained to me what the results meant and what I needed to do to get in better shape. From nutrition and cardio to weight training, he has guided me along the way. We started training three days a week. He taught me how to box as a cardio routine. Never thought I would get it, but with his patience and guidance I am now boxing and loving it… GREAT CARDIO!!! Phil is the perfect trainer if you're looking for someone who: Focuses on fitness and health as well as looking good. Is excellent at assessing the best workout for you according to what you want. Is a positive motivator. Has a great sense of humor and at the same time is professional and conscientious. I've had several trainers over the years. Jim is an excellent trainer. He has great rapport, and he's very creative and inventive in coming up with ways to build muscle and core strength and stamina . So far we've met three times, and I feel 100% better already - fatigued but with a feeling of accomplishment. I actually look forward to each workout because I know Jim will help me meet my goals. What I like about Jim the best, though, is something he does after the workout. He just texts a word of encouragement or a thumbs up or a note on how I did. She is dedicated to getting you to reach your fitness goals; whether thats shedding pounds, gaining muscle, or having the strength to do other activities (I can say this because these were all my goals). I've never had an unanswered question (about workouts, food, pain, etc ) or a missed session. She has been super accommodating to my schedule and previous injury. When I started working out I wasnt sure I was doing the exercises correctly. Vanesa made sure to explain the exercise in manner that I would understand and followed her verbal instruction by showing you the proper way. She also should you modification to make it easier for the beginner and harder for the more advanced insividual. She makes exercising fun and is always smiling. I have been training with Dimitri for a month, and I believe he is one of the most experienced and committed trainers I've ever met. He has continously helped me to achieve my goals and makes each session challenging but somehow still fun. My fitness has increased noticeably and i've seen improvements in my ability to do things I never thought i'd be able to and he pushes me to push myself harder I even look forward to our sesssions each day! - crazy!! I have worked with my share of trainers and by far Brian Kranz is the BEST! He begins your training with a 1 hour comprehensive assessment. Brian takes the time to know you, your body, your limits, and what you want to work on. After your assessment Brian schedules training based on you and your capabilities. I have been training with Brian for a couple of months and I have noticed a big difference in my strength. I can do regular push ups, my biceps and triceps have remarkable definition, and my abs are on their way to rock solid! Not to mention the additional overall strength I feel in my legs! A friend of mine told me Brian is the best so I set up an appointment. He starts you out with a one-hour assessment to see what you need to work on and then you go from there. Tom Munizza has been my personal trainer for the past 18 years at the Powerhouse Gym in Chatsworth. During this time I have observed numerous other trainers at our gym Tom is by far the most professional, most patient, most caring and best personal trainer I have seen. I get numerous compliments on how great my body looks and a very large part of it is due to Tom and how he has helped me to shape my body. He truly cares about your form and safety in regards to proper weight lifting in addition to you as a person. Mike loves what he does and you can "feel" that devotion everytime you step into the gym. His attitude is positively infectious. Not only will you get results from her HIIT workouts (high intensity interval training), I guarantee she won't make you feel uncomfortable or feel like she is staring you down as you workout because she does the workout alongside you. I love Beth! I talked to a few personal trainers when I started looking, and Beth immediately stood out heads above all the others. Beth did a physical assessment and then took the time to find out about me, my issues, my goals and needs. I have back issues, a bad hip - Beth created a plan specifically for me.
