I absolutely recommend using Dj Charlie as your Wedding MC/DJ. For Ceremony, Reception Lighting and special effects. He is so easy to work with and does a great job at getting people up and dancing at the reception. I think the Dj is so important to a Wedding and Charlie added so much to our special day. He was such a First Class Professional guy. When we first met Dj Charlie he was professional and organized which inmediately made me interested in using him as our Dj, he was exactly what we asked for at our Wedding. So when it came time to start the planning process of our Wedding we contacted him many times and he was able to respond promptly. From Begining to end He was so amazing. We couldn't have asked for a better MC/DJ, so professional and yet seemed like a part of our family. Dj Charlie was fantastic. He was able to bring friends and family of all ages to the dancefloor He actually meets with you as a couple in advance to find out all about you and then ensures that everything in your Wedding on your Wedding day is just the way you want it. At the end of the night my guests were saying how great our dj was. We have referred all of our other friends to him who will be getting married in the near future. I found 3 Little Birds on Thumbtack and instantly fell in love with the way Jessica and Dustin communicated and worked with me and my fiancé! We hired them as day of wedding planners and got an initial meet &a greet, timeline meeting, wedding rehearsal and the day of. Here's what makes them 5 stars. Dustin is an absolute gem and has the creative view to help pull the wedding day together. He used bridesmaid bouquets as extra decor, reused ceremony flowers for the reception and helped with every detail including me asking him to move some things around when they didn't look exactly how I pictured them. He checked in throughout the night and was amazing! Jessica is everything you could ever want in a wedding planner and she is absolutely wonderful. Organized. Thorough. Great communication. But honestly the entire wedding day and night she kept asking me and my husband if needed anything. She bustled my dress for me, brought us appetizers and drinks and honestly made me feel like a princess. I had no worries the entire night! Katya was hired to provide floral decor for my wedding. She provided my us with reasonable quotes. We provided her with images of the centerpieces we liked and she helped us explore cost effective flowers and designs for the wedding. We met and she provided a live sample of the centerpiece. She also helped us determine floral decor for sweetheart table, cake table, etc. On the actual wedding day, we were blown away with the quality of her work. All our guest loved the centerpieces and took them home at the end of the night. The centerpieces, guest check in table, cake table, and sweetheart table decor were breathtaking. We will definitely contact Katya for future events. Overall, Katya was responsive, professional, flexible and understanding throughout the entire process. We highly recommend her for your floral and decor needs.

I hired Karen to design my bridal bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages and hair wreaths for my nieces. Karen is professional, helpful, and she pays attention to the details. My bouquet was absolutely beautiful! I decided to add crystal embellishments and it was a great choice. My nieces felt so beautiful in their hair wreaths. There are not enough words to thank Ricki! She came in and saved our day. We knew we needed a local wedding planner because we live out of state and arrived in California just two days before our wedding. Ricki had everything all planned and ready to go down to the last detail. She has a way of working with people as the neutral third party to make everything go smoothly so all venders are working together in a most congenial way. So many good things I can say about this business but primarily Terri. She did my flowers on my wedding and I am truly blessed that I have found her! She is very very very very talented, kind and most especially patient with me! I recalled adding, removing, changing so many things we have on our contract but she was very kind enough to accept my requests. The flowers came out gorgeous and a lot of people had complemented them. I highly recommend Terri if you are looking for flower arrangements for any type of occasions. I was in search for a luxury wedding planner for a private estate for my wedding. I could never the perfect venue space without her help! The private estate that I am going to have my wedding is simply beautiful! I called a lot of local planners and spoke to a few on thumbtack to find the right place, but she was the only one to care genuinely about my needs and concerns and delivered QUICKLY. I hired ixchel and salina for my wedding in November and may I say what an amazing job ... nothing went wrong nothing could have gone wrong. I would hire them Again o my event. The services that I got from them were 1 wedding coordinator, 8 waiters , 2 car ballet , 3 bartenders, flowers and I all my rental .. got everything from them:) totally recommend them

THANK YOU POWERS ABOVE for bringing Sepali Vakil and her team Events by Sep (specifically, Chloe and Jamie) into my life! Over the last year, Sepali has basically done everything for my wedding and I could not be more grateful. She goes above and beyond anything she could ever describe as part of her wedding planning packages, because she is the most personable, honest, organized, and just overall wonderful person. Just to name a few things I LOVED / constantly rave about her.... - Sepali was also so easy to get a hold of. She is quick to reply to texts, emails, or calls, and just knows that we are all busy people while planning weddings so gives realistic goals for you to do in the right time period. - Her preparation was so organized. The timeline was to the minute, and was shared widely so I felt all our vendors and guests knew when/where to go. - She just "gets it!" She understands what its like to be a bride and have a budget, and knows on the day certain things can be stressful so doesn't bombard you with questions or decisions to make, which I REALLY appreciated. It was really warm outside during my ceremony so she moved some things indoors, which is exactly what I would have done, and it allowed our guests to get some much needed AC time - She also made sure my hubby and I ate during each event!! O-M-G we were SO happy with this, and there were takeout boxes of food in our rooms for after the night! - Most importantly, we ran ON TIME...for an Indian wedding, that NEVER HAPPENS - and actually, the ceremony was done 30 minutes early! I give full credit to Sepali for making sure everything was prepped, people knew where to be, and this gave me a chance to get more photos on the mandap with my family, which was such a pleasant surprise. In all honesty, the saddest part of the wedding being over is that I don't get to see her as much, but (and she doesn't know) she will be planning ALL my personal and family events...for the next 50 years! =) Thank you again, Sepali, my family, extended family, and guests cannot stop raving about you!

My husband and I hired Sherine Zaza as our day of wedding coordinator for 3/4/17. We had most of our planning and designing already done by the time we hired her (2 months before the big day), but she gave amazing suggestions that were so helpful! She became our point of contact for our 7 different vendors (which was a task in itself) for me to create a wedding timeline, get paperwork signed from them for our venue and relay any questions they had. She definitely eased our mindset that everything would go smoothly. The night before our wedding, Sherine called us down to our reception venue to show us a surprise she had been working on...her and one of her assistants had designed a rememberance table of all of our lost loved ones. My husband and I lost it...it was so beautifully designed with flowers, twinkling lights and a sign. I (the bride) had recently lost both of my parents, so seeing pictures of them right in the center, along with our other lost family members gave me a sense of peace. She will never know how important that was to us. I can't thank her enough. Like I said earlier, we didn't hire Sherine for her decorating services, but if this was just a small glimpse of what she can do...I would highly recommend her for decorating your next event too! On the day of our wedding she brought an assistant with her, Lauren, who was also very sweet and professional. Any question we had or last minute thought the morning of, they were on it! They even had little headsets to communicate between my two venues. I thought that was pretty cool. Everything went so smoothly, I honestly can't even think of anything we would've wanted differently. What I think we loved most about Sherine was that she went above and beyond her duties. After the wedding, while we were on our honeymoon out of the country, Sherine had contacted us to let us know of all of the loose ends she had tied up with our venue and vendors. I guess things were missing, forgotten, needed to be returned ASAP, etc. and she took care of everything so we wouldn't be bothered on our honeymoon. We knew nothing about all of this until we were told everything was taken care of. This definitely shows what a good person she is both personally and professionally. We would definitely recommend using Sherine as your wedding planner/decorator/day-of-coordinator!

There aren't enough positive things to say about Sanaz. She is like that fairy godmother that you just want to have around to perfect and make pretty everything in your life, especially your wedding. She goes above and beyond for the all the details she manages. She literally keeps you on task from the minute you start working with her to the end of the wedding, and even post-wedding. She has an inclusive network of vendors and artists and she has a great taste in arts. She helped up to go through the whole process and gave us advice on choosing the right vendors. She also knows local artists. She introduces us to a ceramic artist for our favors and she made cute ornaments as our favors. I strongly recommend Sanaz for wedding planning.

Let me preface by saying that I’m a first time bride that lives out of state with a 2 year old daughter. Working with British Inspired, this year for my daughters wedding has been a pure pleasure. The owner is a very personable, attentive and detail oriented. She is extremely experienced and diligent in making sure that your event according to your specifications and desired outcome. All without the high prices of the other and more commercial wedding planners. If I have any additional events or hear of anyone that is looking for an event planner, invitation designer and event decorator, I will not hesitate to recommend British Inspired.

Shelbi was an amazing wedding coordinator and planner. My husband and I would have never had the amazing experience we did without her and her team. Even with all the crazy and obnoxious hands in the "wedding cookie jar" (crazy venue staff, crazy music directors... FAMILY... and ME :) ), Shelbi kept her professionalism and cool demeanor at all times. We received a lot of compliments about Shelbi and how she handled every little detail perfectly. Last year I hired Steven to assist me with planning my wedding at the Edward Dean Museum. I had initially thought that I could plan my wedding without any outside help, but with starting a new job and moving to a new city, I had so much on my plate that I finally contacted Steven, and it was easily the best money I have spent on the wedding. Steven was in constant contact throughout the planning, and took over communication with my vendors, which was a huge weight off my shoulders. He laid out exactly what he needed from me so that I could easily provide necessary information. He even saved the day by borrowing a large cupcake stand from a friend of his for my wedding cupcakes :) Steven is very friendly, and always professional. The only regret I have about him is that I did not hire him sooner, because I feel like I would have stressed less! I would highly recommend him to anyone planning any type of party, because you know that it will be well put together.

Where to begin! Ruby was a savior during my wedding events and was able to offload so much of my stress and attend to all last minute details I was unable to do myself due to time constraints. I was able to trust and rely on her 100% and she did not let me down she knew exactly what I wanted and needed. Ruby made detailed timelines and checklists for all my events. Wedding planning is similar to event planning in that a planning team handles the coordination of multiple wedding elements including catering, venue, guests, entertainment, decor, transportation and more. Anyone who has ever been involved in a wedding can confirm that wedding planning is hard work. Experience brings wisdom when it comes to avoiding or resolving day-of challenges. There is no legal regulatory body that oversees or certifies wedding planning as an industry. Anyone who chooses can call themselves a wedding planner. How much do day-of wedding coordinators cost?

A day-of wedding coordinator makes sure that every detail of your wedding day goes off without a hitch, and deals quickly and quietly with any last-minute emergencies. For many brides, the day-of wedding coordinator is their best investment! The average national cost for a wedding coordinator is $800 to $1,000. Although full-service wedding coordinators often charge a percentage of the total wedding budget, most day-of coordinators charge a flat fee plus an additional hourly fee if the day runs long. For example, a 15-hour day-of coordination costs an average of $600, plus an additional $45 per hour if the coordinator works more than the planned 15 hours. Another option is to hire a coordinator to manage the last-minute details leading up to the event; for example, 25 hours of month-of coordination costs an average of $1,200. Several factors affect the cost of day-of coordination, including the region, the planner’s experience, and the specifics of the wedding. If the ceremony and reception are in two different locations, expect to pay more than if they’re in the same place. What should you ask a wedding coordinator?

When you hire a wedding coordinator, you want to make sure he or she gets you and can execute perfectly your vision of your dream wedding. To find the very best fit, it’s important to ask these five questions:

  • Are you available on my wedding date? If the coordinator isn’t available on your big day, there’s no reason to continue the interview — unless you’re willing to shift your date to accommodate their schedule.
  • What’s average cost of most of your weddings? If the coordinator’s usual wedding is outside your range, they might not be the right coordinator for you. Ask whether the coordinator requires a minimum wedding budget. In general, the wedding coordinator’s fee should be about 15 percent of your budget.
  • What is your speciality? Some coordinators specialize in day-of coordination, some create the overall vision, and others act as a producer. Make sure your wedding coordinator provides the type of services that will most help you create the event you have in mind, such as selecting vendors and handling their contracts, or managing the guest list and invitations.
  • What are your ideas for fulfilling our wedding vision? After you describe your dream wedding — rustic or sophisticated, traditional or funky — the wedding coordinator should be able to suggest appropriate venues, menus, decorations, etc..

Do I need a wedding day coordinator?

Even if you’ve handled every detail of planning your wedding, you might appreciate having a day-of wedding coordinator in your corner. Usually, the coordinator meets with you a few weeks before your wedding to put together a detailed timeline of everything that needs to happen on your wedding day. Then, on the big day, the coordinator makes sure everything goes according to plan — and handles any emergencies that pop up, such as party crashers, missing tuxedos, late vendors, disappearing bridal party members and more. Most wedding coordinators also handle:

  • Distributing the wedding day timeline to all of your vendors.
  • Coordinating all of your vendors, including the photographer, florist and baker.
