Stephen incredibly knowledgeable and has a wonderful personality, and will push you beyond your mental (which I need most) and physical limits to get most out of the training without screaming at me. He is fully focussed on you while training and whenevwer time permits he quickly jots down my progress and motivates me with all the Instagram recordings :) he is either working out with me to demonstrate or couting my reps or recording the video for my reference. there is decent progress within a month and i am hopeful that I will achieve my target soon with help and motivation from him. Baron methods of teaching are no like other and he personalizes each routine, circuit to fit your needs. He is efficient, has extensive knowledge of physical training, highly motivating and focused. Due to my crazy work schedule, Baron brings all the equipment to me and we work outdoors and suits me perfectly. I am not huge lover of working out and i get bored of doing the same workout routine but Baron is constantly changing it up for me and I couldn't be happier. Baron is not that expensive, considering i was on budget, we worked out a deal. I have already seen results with Baron and I highly recommend that you use his services.

Anthony is awesome. He has great communication, designs tough yet effective workouts, always has a positive, upbeat attitude (even when under the weather!), and he is incredibly supportive! The gym is unique in that it doesn't feel like one of those massive 24 Hour Fitness behemoths that lack in the community department. God's Gym is very community oriented. Everyone supports one another, and it is really nice to see familiar faces every time I'm in the gym. The trainers want you to succeed and are not just in it to collect money. They legitimately want you to reach your goals, and that gets me through the grueling workouts 3 times/week. The equipment might seem obsolete at first glance. However, this is the kind of gym I imagine hardcore, loyal bodybuilding athletes go to train. Rocky Balboa would train at this gym whereas the scary Russian dude would be at Equinox (Rocky wins the fight in the end!). If you are looking for a no-frills, authentic gym experience, God's Gym is definitely a great place to go. I have only been training at this gym, but I look forward to sticking with it in the long run. Plus, they offer multiple training packages for all types, and it's very affordable. I'll see you at God's Gym!

Anthony is absolutely awesome and so is the owner Gary. I am very confident that I will reach my weight loss goals here at God's Gym. Anthony took the time to explain every piece of equipment, he demonstrated exactly how I was to do it and what muscle group it was working. I was referred to Evan by a friend and came to him wanting to gain some muscle. I have always been athletic but after a few years of focusing on work, not working out, I needed to get some bulk & muscle definition back. I came to him at 163 (6ft, 1in) and in 7 months I gained 18 pounds! I even kept close to the same BF percentage. all along the way Evan provided great nutritional advice and actually made me feel accountable for what I did and ate outside of the studio, which by the way, is an awesome spot. The workouts were challenging, varied, and obviously effective. I'd highly recommend him to anyone needing a great, down to earth trainer, whatever your fitness goals are.

I've never seen a studio or gym this nice and well kept. It has top notch amenities(shower, towels, air conditioning in SF!) and staff. I've been training here for some time (3 months) and have seen great results, especially my balance.. Evan works with a great staff and Scott (my trainer) has designed a very effective workout program to address my right side\leg which is weaker than the left from breaking my femur. Great experience, would definitely reccomend for personal training!!!

From the beginning, Oga has been nothing but flexible about the small details- time, location, length of workout. At age 53, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and osteoporosis of the spine and hips. Following a successful surgery to remove my thyroid, my endocrinologist recommended that I pursue weight and resistance training in conjunction with a year-long course of daily injections to treat my osteoporosis. Since that time, I have felt so incredibly fortunate to have met Jackie Sizemore. Training with Jackie, with her expert knowledge of physiology and hands-on guidance, and experiencing the results of the comprehensive Youniquelyfit method, the T-Score for my spine went from -3.0 (osteoporosis) to 1.0 (normal bone density). If you have food items that you feel you can't live without, she'll help you work them into your diet in the best way possible. -Kendall is always on time! Even on the days I happen to arrive early, she's there waiting for me. -She's great about scheduling our time together and does a check-in with her clients every Sunday to reconfirm the schedule for the week. -Safety is her #1 priority in teach her clients how to lift weights and get into shape. She's always asking for feedback about feel, comfort, pain levels, etc. Only once I had to tell her about pain I was experiencing in my knee, and she immediately modified my motion to alleviate the pain. -Kendall is an excellent motivator and really helps you get past your own mental blocks about your body and losing weight. -She's honest about necessary commitment vs. personal goals and explains her rates/pricing really well. -The gym where she hosts clients is really the most intimidating part of the experience. On any given day you'll see people training and practicing for body building competitions. Xavier is one of the most hardworking and dedicated trainers I know. I needed help with my Army Physical Fitness Test training, particularly with my two-mile because I had a huge mental block and never broke that barrier or dropped my time no matter what I did. I found out that Xavier had done extensive research prior, and there were many days we went over one hour but he did not charge extra. He is someone I would describe as not after your money but truly cares about helping you reach your goals, no matter the cost and extra burden on him. The special thing about Xavier is really what you are getting in his packages-- it's not just physical training, but a package that addresses all three things: physical, emotional, and mental. With my mental block, he took me to speak to his wife, who was professionally certified. All at no extra cost to me-- it was all on his dime. Why? Because like I said, he cares about the person and his/her goal rather than just making money. When I was injured or on the brink of getting injured, he was able to help me with physical therapy as well (he's a massage therapist) so I didn't even have to go to a doctor for that. (He really knows what he's doing with physical therapy and massage; I actually feel that it's his specialty). It obviously worked because I was somehow able to avoid all those close calls, recover from a strained shoulder and strained hip, and prevent further injury ALL while intensely training at the same time nonstop for the twenty days I had left. We definitely went over just one hour everyday but Xavier never said anything. I know what I was able to achieve earlier, and I had reached my wits' end with making any improvement. Today, saying I reached my goal is an understatement. I completely smashed my goal and broke a mental and physical barrier forever along the way-- by almost 2 minutes. Something I couldn't break by even a minute for NINETEEN years by myself. But only twenty days with Xavier and suddenly I broke it by not just one but TWO minutes in an already short two-mile run? AND somehow got over my greatest fear at the same time? That's what I call a miracle. Got above and beyond for everything else. At times I know I gave Xavier a hard time because sometimes I wouldn't listen to him or argued with him about what was right. But it doesn't matter who was right or wrong at that time because all that matters to me is the end result-- and I succeeded. Thank you Xavier!

I have had 2 sessions so far and I have to say that I am thrilled with Xavier's knowledge, attention to detail, and professionalism. I could tell by talking with him during our consult that he not only knew a great deal about what he does but he also enjoys what he does even more. It can be hard to find someone that truly values the work they do for people. I feel so comfortable working with him and as a woman, especially a self conscious overweight woman, this is a big deal. I have gotten great workouts and homework from Xavier and he really does pay special attention to how your body works and tailors the workouts to challenge you but not leave you pouring sweat and ready to die. I have learned that that is not necessarily the way to go about it, especially for a body that has been out of commission for a while. I am already seeing results in my posture, my mindset, my eating/hydration habits, and of course my weight/inches. I would hands down recommend Dima Rumanov to anyone who is looking for the ultimate body and mind transformation. He is patient, dedicated, hardworking, always so positive and understands that the struggle is real. I first went to Dima to get a "lean toned body." He helped me set up a fitness schedule, homework, and a meal plan to help me reach my desired goal. Over the course of a year, training with Dima 2x a week, my goals changed and Dima was always accommodating and altered my program based on my goals I was trying to achieve. I lost a total of 15lbs and then decided I wanted to get stronger and he changed my program changed again to include more weights. Initially I was hesitant to start heavy weights in fear of getting "bulky" or "beefy." Dima is an expert trainer and now I am stronger and leaner than I have ever been and you can see the results of my transformation in the image below. My experience with Mo has been fantastic. I had a complex orthopedic surgery after breaking my talus, fibia & tibia so I was hesitant to start exercising again and knew I needed the knowledge of an expert. Hiring Gretchen was one of the best moves I made for losing weight. I had spent many years crash dieting, eating low calorie diets in an attempt to lose weight, only to gain it back quickly and pack even more pounds. She quickly detailed a meal plan for me to adhere to that was nutritious and filling, also giving me details on how to deal with eating at restaurants. Yes, it will be work on your end to measure and cook, but it's made my life easier not having to think about what I need to eat. My personal training experience with Jason Fox consists of three-days a week of a mixture of strength and cardio exercises. Jason is very flexible and communicates in advance regarding any schedule conflictions or need to re-schedule a training session. Thus far, I have lost a total of 8 pounds since working with Jason the first week of January until now, and have received much counsel to help support my weight loss outside of session (eg: Food choices, suggested water intake, vitamin supplements, etc.) . I met with Elyse at her gym, Perpetual Motion Performance Training, in an easily accessible and nice area of Walnut Creek. The gym itself is well equipped with ample floor space, full wall mirrors, plenty of weights, and all sorts of other fitness equipment (even a giant tire!) needed for the full-body workouts they provide in both personal training and group classes. My training experience with Elyse was excellent! Her easy-going and encouraging attitude coupled with her knowledge and experience makes for an enjoyable and effective work out. She is incredibly good with recognizing ability levels and takes care to create and adjust her instruction to ensure your body is challenged, but not damaged, during your session. I highly recommend Elyse for personal training, whether experienced in fitness, or just starting out and afraid to take the jump, she'll get you going and help you achieve your fitness goals. 2 thumbs WAY UP!

Exercise! Eat right! Stay hydrated! Words to live by, but difficult to maintain...especially the exercise...unless you have Elyse. Talk about keeping your workouts fresh and fun. Whether it's yoga, interval training, or taking on the stairs, Elyse is right there making sure you're safe and doing everything right. Perpetual Motion is a wonderful gym because of all the different classes they offer and Elyse's experience and expertise makes reaching your health goals a reality, all the while having fun!

Have been training with Pete for over 7 years now, and I've always been extremely happy with the service he provides. Depending on whether I'm training to build mass, maintain fitness, or doing injury recovery, he customizes my routines to achieve that goal. As a former Bio major in school, I've always appreciated his deep knowledge of physiology and his ability to explain each exercise in terms of the muscle groups impacted and why the form and posture is critical. Lastly, while some trainers are flakes, Pete is the picture of professionalism and has never once had to cancel a session with me. I wish I could say the same (; I recommend Pete in the strongest terms.

Pete has been my trainer for several years. His knowledge of anatomy and exercise regimes is deep and excellent. He constantly updates our regimen so I don't grow bored and dissatisfied. I highly recommend investing in his training services, he is worth it. "The Herminator" I like to call him. He keeps me focused and helps me create a plan for my goals. He is positive and encouraging, and pushes me through my workouts. We are constantly changing the workout between free weights, machines, TRX, and high impact workouts. Sometime we meet at gym and sometime he works me out in a park outdoors which I really enjoy. I also enjoy it when he drops some doctor style knowledge on me about the body, and how the muscles function together. He pays attention to me the whole workout and is invested in making sure I'm working out properly. I never feel neglected or that he is distracted. I have some workouts where I chat away and sometimes I'm quite. He respect my mood and goes with it every work out. As a woman I'm comfortable with Herman especially when my "not so cute" parts are bulging out during a workout and the sweat is pouring off me. Working out with Herman motivates me to make better decisions about my health. Make the investment not just in Herman, but your health.

What can I say about Herman besides that he's awesome. I started training with him after a knee injury playing soccer. He's helped me rebalance, strengthen and add explosiveness back to my knee to the point where I feel way stronger than before the injury! Matt is working with me twice a week on strength training especially for my core. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and very pleasant to work with. He is patient yet on each machine or exercise he frequently asks me if I can go up on weight, stretch further, etc. He creates a varied routine for me & I enjoy the sessions. Matt is always looking out for my safety & guides me as to proper form. He always takes into account my specific weak areas. He is flexible w scheduling. I had Sanchez as a trainer for about two years before I moved out of town. I still make sure to see him when I travel back to town. Dude knows his stuff, is light-hearted but unrelenting, and actually gets results. Recommended for those focusing on strength training, though he might Zumba like a motherfucker; I don't know.
