Working with Markshane and all of his trainers at shape up studio has been the best fitness experience I've ever had. The first meeting with Markshane was a "get to know" you session and I could tell he really cared about me and my goals. When I came in for my first training session after the consultation, I could tell he listened to what I liked and wanted because my favorite exercises were sprinkled throughout the 30 min session. If you are hesitating to begin your fitness journey because you are uncomfortable in your body or with your current fitness level, don't be. The trainers at Shape up studio are kind, compassionate, and really want to see you succeed. I'm really glad I took the first step and started working out here. I have no doubt that Shape up Studio will get me to my fitness goals!

I highly recommend Megan for anyone looking to improve their fitness. Megan's personal training had a major impact in my life. I took yoga lessons for her for 6 months. Through her instruction I was able to balance my mind, body and soul. I also literally improved my balance skills which helps out on my favorite activity...downhill longboarding. Megan is extremely dedicated to and knowledgeable about personal training and fitness.

Rich has the rare combination of passion and patience not often seen in the fitness and training world. In my many personal ups and downs in my ongoing battle with my weight, Rich was the one trainer who knew how to push me, yet keep things fun and interesting. He never allowed workouts to get stale or repetitive and knew that perfect balance to push you to the limit without breaking you. The best part about Rich is that he is a normal guy's guy and doesn't look down on anyone. He knows how to relate complicated nutrition and training principles to a lay-personwho doesn't understand the first thing about any of it. My only complaint is he no longer is local so I can't train with him anymore! However, I recently lost 40lbs implementing those many little tricks he passed on to me years ago. As I said, he knows how to relate the information in ways that are easy to remember and so that you won't forget. Do yourself a BIG favor and train with Rich today!

Lana is an AMAZING personal trainer! I've been training with Lana for a little over a month, every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Her assessments of what you need to accomplish goals are exactly on target. Lana designed a program for me that has been working to help me achieve my goals. She has a way of challenging you that is very successful and rewarding, results are guaranteed. Lana knows what she is doing but is also smart and fun to work out with. She will push you without putting you down and knows how to challenge you to reach your goals. You'll be challenged right away and feel the burn, but somehow keep going back for more. Lana is always cheerful and motivating, and has the ability to constantly change up the routine so that it never gets boring. I'm so thankful for Lana, she not only helped me physically but also mentally.

To be honest I don't quite know where to begin. There are not enough adjectives to describe how amazing Lauren Allen is. I was first introduced to Lauren through a coworker who was sharing her experience and I just had to find out for myself. I have had personal trainers in the past however I never felt comfortable enough in my journey or happy enough with my progress to continue. When I first met with Lauren I let her know this and she assured me that she would do everything she could to make me feel comfortable and to this day she has only exceeded my expectations. My initial goal when meeting with Lauren was to get in shape for my wedding by working out and eating clean. Little did I know in a matter of 4 short weeks Lauren would make me fall in love with working out and find a new appreciation for my body through the changes I have already seen. She's also taught me how to eat in a way that is real, it does not feel like I am restricted like all other diets, I am eating real food and remaining cautious of portions and moderation. Lauren has made my journey one that I will never forget and I know I will continue far past just getting fit for my wedding. Thank you Lauren for giving me my life back. I have always struggled with accepting myself and the way I look but when we work together and train you make me feel as though I am capable of anything and that all my goals are within my reach. I was looking for a yoga instructor to introduce me to the practice and to help me manage the soreness and work related stress held within my body. Allison has exceeded my expectations with her expertise and patience in teaching me poses which specifically address my needs. After just a few sessions, I have felt much more limber and relaxed overall, and I look forward to incorporateing the practice into my daily routine. I hired Tom initially to get in shape for my approaching wedding in Hawaii, which I then continued for 3 months after as the results were excellent. Tom pays attention to your goals, habits, metabolic type, and physical abilities. His diet suggestions and diversity in workout routines kept things interesting and fun (as fun as working out can be at first!) Tom's knowledge of CrossFit training, weights, and various other disciplines set him apart from your typical 24hr fitness trainer. He was willing to be flexible with my work schedule and was always available for a quick call or text. Tom provides encouragement, support, and puts together a solid plan to achieve your goals. I would highly recommend Tom for anyone hesitant or intimidated by the gym and or initial commitment of getting in shape.

Johanna is an awesome zumba and water aerobics teacher. Her routines are presented clearly and are challenging enough for a beginner but not too difficult to understand, and provide a great full body workout. She has tons of enthusiasm and is very knowledgable about fitness. I have not used her personal training services but I'm sure they are excellent as well!

Diane and I worked for a couple of weeks and she had showed me how professional she can be. She absolutely helped me a lot in teaching me new exercises. In the beginning of our course she asked where I wanted to be when it came to how I wanted my body to be and she made my own personal fitness plan according to what I told her. The fitness plan was great! Although we had only worked for a couple of weeks, I did see some changes especially in the way I eat. To top all of that she was very sociable and understanding. She actually tries to get to know you which is great. I felt comfortable opening about myself with her. My few weeks with her were great! I totally recommend working with her!

When you think of hiring a personal trainer you want someone who motivates you, who challenges you, and someone who holds you accountable. I found exactly that with Mike. I love how convenient the workout sessions are: you pick a location and time that works for you and he brings all the equipment you'll need. Most importantly, he works with you to create realistic and attainable goals. When it comes to being healthy there's more to it than just the physique you're trying to achieve and Mike understands that. Which is why you gain a great life coach aside from a knowledgeable personal trainer. Not to mention, he's always just a text away to help answer any questions or concerns.

I did a lot of research on the internet on Fitness Trainers before deciding on Colby and was thoroughly impressed & satisfied with the training program he set out for me. I loved the professionalism of the whole experience; his knowledge, work ethic, the FACILITY & STAFF. It was not a "meat locker" but people with a common purpose working hard to attain it. What I love was Colby was 100% on me in training ... no wandering eyes, answering phone with other clients and NEVER gave me the sense he was board with what he was doing. Always encouraging and keenly aware of what I was going thru mentally as well as physically. Though I have moved out of the area, I still hitting him up with advice and help & he always responds ... he is the man! Try that with some of the other trainers after your contract is up! Highly recommend him to anyone that is serious about their training on ALL levels. I am no pin up model lol. Thanks Colby!

I started working with Candon almost two years now and it has proven to be an amazing investment. He is a very professional and knowledgeable trainer in both physical fitness and nutrition. When I started working with Candon he was super flexible with my workout routine and fitness goals; I was newly pregnant and he was able to work with me throughout my pregnancy and beyond. One of the many reasons to choose a personal trainer is that they can watch how you exercise and tweak your posture/movements/etc to better tone your muscles and create a fitness routine so that you actually see results! Candon customizes your plan to fit you as well as push you to be better. He is fantastic at what he does and I am stronger because of it! Candon is always looking for ways to change things up and keep the workout interesting; I’m always super energized after our sessions! Candon is super flexible with scheduling around peoples’ busy lives. He also creates routines for you to do outside of your sessions with him. He is very encouraging and has become a good friend! I can’t say enough about him! He is the best.

I've known Jon for a number of years. I met Jon when he was a student athlete at San Diego State University playing football. He's always been determined to be a personal trainer and there wasn't a droubt in my mind that he would reach that goal. When I learned that he was actually training people I had to see what he was doing. So I started following him on Instagram to see him in action. I was impressed with what he was doing with his clients that I called him up and set up an appointment. He stopped by my office (which I appreciated) and we talked about what my fitness goals and objectives were for training and the next week I was at his training facility training. He didn't go easy on me and he didn't let me slack on any part of my workouts. I thought he would take it easy on me but he didn't and I appreciate that. There were times I told him I couldn't do an exercise and that the weight was too heavy but he encouraged me to do it. And I did it. His positive attitude and patience with me makes him an AMAZING trainer. Not only does he care about your fitness journey but he cares about you as a person. Side note he allows me to have fun (telling jokes and singing) when I workout, while still pushing me to get better and stronger. I would recommend that you give Jon a chance and see for yourself what an AMAZING trainer he is.

I've used personal trainer's off & on for over 30 years , and by far Lynda has made the biggest impact ! My goal was to increase my cardio stamina & tone my body overall . We've been training outdoors ( under cover when it rains ) which I really wanted , along with another girlfriend for approximately 3 month's . I am in amazing shape at 52 years old and I lost 8 lbs !!! I'm over the moon happy .... My vitality & energy are off the chart's and I sleep like a baby . I feel more balance in my life. Tyler Stubbs, without exaggeration, has the most knowledge of how the body works than anyone I've ever met. Of all of the things I could say I loved about training with him, this is definitely what set him above so many other trainers (many of whom have years on him). In the past I had left so many gym sessions feeling unaccomplished because I had an unhealthy mindset when it came to excerise, and I had no idea what I was doing. I found myself without confidence or desire to go to the gym most of the time. Once I began training with Tyler, however, his knowledge and passion for what he does made for a successful workout every time; both physically and mentally. He had a complete handle on every exercise he instructed me to do; it was clear even to me that he organized each session meticulously and knew exactly what muscles were being targeted at all times. It was very clear that this trainer spent a lot of time planning outside of his paid hours (something that can't be said of many professionals). On top of this, his expertise allowed him to replace or adjust any exercise based on injuries I have. For example, I have a weak hip that is very hard to predict during my workouts. Not only did Tyler identify the cause of my hip pain before my physical therapist could figure it out, but he also was able to adjust any exercise that was bothering my hip- a quick minded feat that I was very impressed by. Tyler was endlessly encouraging during sessions- pushing me to reach my potential but also recognizing and acknowledging my limits. In three words, Tyler Stubbs is dedicated, professional, and knowledgeable beyond his years and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a quality personal trainer.

I am so happy to have found a personal trainer who is extremely knowledgeable about the field and very patient with someone who is just getting into fitness. I have been training with Stacey for almost 2 months now and love that our workouts are challenging yet fun. Aside from the workouts, she has created a diet plan specific to me and my needs.
