Had a great experience shooting for various range of photography and the photographer provided valuable insights into lightning, pose, background and other aspects of great outdoor photography. I can't say enough good things about Luis! From the first moment I made his acquaintance on Thumbtack, he was responsive and answered all my questions. He reached out to confirm the event a couple of days beforehand, which made me feel at ease. He showed up to the vow renewal early, was extremely polite and professional to all guests, and even helped with a little set up (not expected but very much appreciated). I found Angela while I was looking for a photographer for a surprise proposal. All I needed was something simple: someone who could hide until the right moment and snap the shot of me on one knee. What I got with Angela was better than I could have imagined. Not only did she work with me in the weeks leading up to the proposal, offering alternative ideas for a more successful surprise, but she was flexible enough to keep in contact with me the day of when we found out my dream spot was under construction. In the end, Angela caught the moment perfectly and my now fiancé was none the wiser the whole time. Angela was a joy to work with throughout the one hour session walking around the monuments and making us feel comfortable. She helped pose us while always asking if there were any specific shots we wanted to have captured. Her ideas for photos came out spectacular and we couldn’t be more thrilled. In the end, she got the over a hundred photos back to us in less time than she originally estimated, and she even threw in a surprise video. We’re so happy to have this important moment in our lives documented in such a beautiful way, and I cannot recommend Angela enough for an engagement or couple photo shoot. Thank you so much, Angela!

I just saw another review where he did the same thing to someone else and he blamed it on miscommunication, so I want to be as factual as possible. We started texting a little less than a week prior to the shoot. I explained at least a couple of times that we were trying to do a simple family shoot during peak foliage so doing it this weekend was essential. We exchanged several messages discussing location and decided on a place and time. He sent me an invoice and I paid my deposit. It was booked. The day before I realized that the Marine corps marathon was taking place and reached out and told him this. He suggested a different time so I reminded him that it needed to be this weekend. I then made suggestions of other places not affected by the marathon. Should have been easy for all parties. He sent me a text at 3:46am, 5 hours before the shoot and said. “Apologies  as I will not be available tomorrow but would be more than happy to accommodate next week” obviously we were sleeping at time, so we woke up at 7am to get ready for our shoot and had no photographer. This is not a miscommunication. This was not unavailability of location, since I made plenty of suggestion. This was him not fulfilling his end of the deal and left us without a real alternative and we missed out on our shoot.
