The requirement was to refinish the front door and install a new door lock and handle that I would provide. Two people showed up on time and immediately began to install the new door lock and handle. I thought this was strange in that the door was supposed to be refinished. However, I discounted the installation first since the lock & handle were not same make as the current lock and handle. This was a mistake in judgement. After approximately 30 minutes or less the installers were finished. I asked when they would be refinishing the door. They explained that was all they were supposed to do. They called Sam and he told me that is the only service that he performed. I explained that was not the requirement and that he had called earlier asking about the color of the door to get the materials to refinish the door. Sam's response was the same as his earlier response that he did it perform refinishing services. Since the requested service was not performed in full as requested I refused payment. Bottom line Sam's services were incomplete and he new it when he accepted the job. Basically dishonest and I will not use ThumbTack services in the future.
