We had our first experience with a tutor this week. My daughter left feeling very confident. It was a great experience for her, and she had positive results the next day on her test.

    About

I provide help with Spanish homework, essays, and extra help for students in Spanish classes already. I live by Southpoint Mall and can't travel unless it is close distance from the Southpoint area (Durham). I have a lot experience in tutoring, being born in Venezuela gave me the ability to speak a very decent Spanish so I'm able to teach in general terms. Kids are always welcome and anyone who simply wants to learn or get by another language also!

    About

I have always enjoyed working with young men, and have a knack for explaining things in a way that they understand. I began tutoring math when I was in high school. I also have extensive experience mentoring one on one or leading groups of young men during my seven years in the Boy Scouts of America, and six years teaching multiple merit badges at Raven Knob summer camp. In the future I hope to be an Eagle Scout mentor.

    About

Forty years ago, I began teaching engineering students physics. I developed a reputation for conveying technical information in layman terms using examples and drawings which further enhanced my student's comprehension. My students learn the importance of recording solutions in their own voice, when I am not there, they can understand and apply the steps to solve similar problems.

If you need help with a Spanish class (beginning Spanish to advanced Spanish), I can help out! I graduated at UNC Chapel Hill with a bachelor's degree in Hispanic literature and cultures. I've tutored two students so far, and they've both received A's in their Spanish class!

I will be tutoring for ESOL elementary and junior high school levels only. I serve as a Americorp Vista community school specialist and in school for early childhood development. I work well with kids because I was one! Being from South Miami, Florida, we had to deal with FCAT, and I fully developed a skill set on critical thinking and creative tools to make reading and writing fun.

I am a professional Spanish and English tutor with years of experience teaching students of all ages, levels and settings. I currently teach mostly online in a one-on-one setting and adjust the sessions to the student's goals, needs and learning style using interactive lessons, videos, writing and conversation to support, reinforce and balance with the grammar that we cover.
