My firsts and continuing impression of this trainer is that: Ty is a very open and apporachable person. As someone who has never had a private personal trainer before(previous experience in hot yoga and pilates with instructors and planet fitness trainers), I was a little intimidated by the barbell. I also had so many misconceptions about how it would make me appear muscular and bulky. But seeing how happy and encouraging my powerlifting friends were I decided to do it for mental health and my body dysmorphia . Ty works with me on all these concerns all while teaching me so much about how my body can progress most efficiently without excess exertion and burnout that crossfit or other aesthetic oriented programs may ask for. Be prepared to come out knowing so many weird tidbits about excercise physiology. He's really one of those people who try to understand what they are doing rather than give in to the generally accepted media about how to train. As a premed student, I receognize the only some of the things he talks about, like honestly, he knows more than me. And all backed by article and text citations. This is, as I know from my own experience as a student, is the only real way to be correct about what you are telling people. Having everything back up by that science! Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell will be the last thing you tell people next time you are asked about how things work. He emphasizes that looks aren't everything and gave me the non superficial confidence about body image I've always wanted. I could do the whole before after picture thing, but recently (I'm only about a month in) my friends have all already commented on my brighter mood and toned physique. I've measured myself out of boredom and realized I've actually lose waist circumference and gained hip. Thats for those of you who still like the little bit of aesthetics boost from fitness. Again, nothing compares to the surge of stamina you have for the week. Thanks so much for being so supportive and financially open with me ty.
