Jason is a very pleasant, low key guy who prides himself on really knowing about strength training. He is always very considerate about the customer and their time. He is very punctual, never late and he always knows how to challenge you. He seems to know how to pace the workout based on his customer's ability and condition at the time of training. He is very knowledgeable and inventive on coming up with new exercises and movements that challenge you but never to excess. Turk is a very experienced trainer. He is patient and very knowledgeable. People who stick with him will definitely achieve their goals. My goal is to bulk up. When I started training with him, I was 150 pound. I was skinny and a hard gainer. Now I weigh 165 with pretty decent muscles. Those 30 pound gain is not fat but almost pure muscle gain. I am a chemistry graduate student . I always ask him about what this exercise does since I have un-naturally high curiosity. He is always patient and takes his time explaining things in detail with me. I am really glad that I found him. he is way better than regular trainers from 24 fitness, LaFitness, and etc. The only thing I wish more is that I could gain more. But like I said, I am a very hard gainer. I am happy that I gained 15 pounds of lean muscle over 1 year. So if I can do it with my disadvantaged body type, you can definitely achieve your goal way faster with him training you.
I have been training with Laura for about a month and I am so pleased the results. She puts a lot of thought into designing a routine that works for me individually, she listens to me and knows what my goals are. I really enjoy the space where we train; I feel like I can focus and get the most out of my time with her. Laura is a genuine person and a joy to work with. Taylor has been absolutely amazing since day one. When I began to look into personal training, I was a little nervous. I was worried about everything from hiring a horrible trainer who yelled at me or was uninterested to not having enough money to really commit to it. Taylor quickly calmed all of those fears. When I met for our free consult she was straight forward and professional while still being very personable. I took the leap and went for it and I have been SO happy with my results. Not only does Taylor completely know what she's doing, but she charges a very reasonable price and is always available to answer any questions I have at any time of the day. Shes fun and encourages me to live the best lifestyle I can. I promise if you hire her, you will not regret it.
Lisa was awesome! I purchased several sessions with her as a gift for my parents for Christmas and they have been so happy with her as a trainer. She has made them feel very comfortable, listened to what they were wanting out of their sessions, and really helped them get back on track with their exercise. Her knowledge in different kinds of strength training, exercise, and stretching has been perfect for them and the convenience of her coming to their house has made all the difference. I was training with Berley to improve my athletic performance, specifically speed, agility, and power. He worked with me for approximately five months and during that time really impressed me with his knowledge, interpersonal skills, and dedication to his craft. He always had excellent workouts planned that both tested my limits and increased my training-related knowledge. I would absolutely recommend him to others as a trainer.
I sought out personal training on the recommendation of my physical therapist. The goal was to continue strengthening exercises to improve the condition of my injured ankle and problematic knees. I have to admit, I was terrified to start working with a personal trainer... I was obese, out of shape, and feared that I would be judged. Then I stumbled across Corey at Thrive Body Balance and realized I had nothing to fear. He was very welcoming and willing to work with me unconditionally and without judgment. I've been working out with Corey weekly for nearly 6 months now. I feel so much stronger, and that has helped me both physically and in terms of my confidence. I also feel like I'm taking great strides towards lifelong health, as Corey works with me on "corrective" exercises to improve the alignment and balance of my body. I have been training with Jake for about 4 months. I can say he is the best trainer I've had. And I've been through a few. What I can say about Jake: I feel like he's got my back. Any trainer can push you to work hard and make you do a hard workout. What I like about Jake is that he can push me but knows when I should also pull back and rest. He is wonderful with stretches! He is also very fit and a good coach. The two qualities together make for an exceptionally effective trainer. His passion for fitness shows. Jake is also a good communicator. That doesn't mean he's always chatty or got a slick front but he's very good at reading his clients and seeks to understand and listen to you. He's a good read of people. I also don't feel judged by Jake like I have with other trainers. He's a super great guy who treated my initial difficulties working out with empathy, compassion and flexibility. With Jake, I had come back to working out again after a physical setback and had put on the most weight I'd ever gained. I am also a woman in her fifties and weight is the hardest to get off than previously for me. In three months he's helped me reduce all my measurements! And last but not least, Jake is a professional. He shows it in his voice, conversation and his attitude. Do not look any further for a trainer! Jake is the best.
Dahn is an excellent training and extremely valuable to me. She’s such an inspiration! No matter what her challenges may be, or life may bring her way, she’s always ready and willing to work through them. She’s a wonderful example of someone who thrives to come out ahead of any obstacles, while remaining positive through it all.
First off, it turned out that I actually knew Felton. My husband used to train with him and he was a friend of a friend. Felton will definitely help you get your fitness needs met. He will kick your butt with Cora activities and strength training. He also assist with nutrition planning and monitoring. He's an all-around good guy too.
We first met Melanie when we attended a tour at Town Center Village, a retirement community in Happy Valley, Oregon. She, as a Personal Fitness Director there, got us involved in a Summer Games Fitness program she was conducting at that time, and introduced us to the many fitness activities available to us. I had limited movement in my shoulder, and assessing my problem, Melanie put me on weight resistant machines, water aerobics and exercises to strengthen and tone my body. I have regained my muscle tone, regained full movement of my shoulders, and Melanie has proven that she not only has the experience, training, and ability to help people but most importantly, has truly cared about my health and has proven to be a wonderful friend. I have witnessed her interaction with other residents here and can attest to her quality of work and care in helping the senior generation. I would not hesitate to recommend Melanie for any physical training.
Lexie provides a 50 minute workout that pushes me but not so hard that I am unable to exercise the next day. She seems to always find the routines that make me stronger but do not stress my 68 year old body!!
Amy was the first personal trainer I worked with in almost 20 years. I was looking for help to strengthen my core as well as overall muscle since, at 50, I had lost strength all over and didn't want to rely on one kind of routine. I've been a runner for years and the wear and tear on my knees and lower back haven't helped. Amy started me with simple stretches and core work that I could do at home as well. Weights increase slowly; I never left a training feeling too worn down, but rather energized. I eventually got stronger and more confident in doing things like pushups (which I always sucked at!). The best thing was the work I did with Amy helped heal a longtime ache I had in my leg since having my daughter 10 years ago. Amy is super cheerful, focused and full of conversation; every time I work with her, I leave thinking "time goes by so fast with her! I just worked out for an hour and didn't even feel like it was that long!" Highly recommend Amy!
I came to Alexander to improve my flexibility and endurance, and I could not believe the results. He does this thing called PNF flexibility along with assisted stretching ( he stretched my muscles a little further and futher each session father than I could do it by myself) and the combination of these two regimens made me so flexible i could do a full splits at the end of 3 weeks. The cardio training was very intense and very effective, with a lot of fun workouts. Don't waste your money anywhere else! :)
Jesse is seriously one of the best trainers!! Not only did he help me achieve my fitness goals, he gave me the confidence I was lacking in the gym. After training with him I felt much more comfortable in the gym and trying new exercises and workouts. He made working out more enjoyable because he is so passionate about it. He is easy to talk to and very approachable with any questions I had. He listened to my needs and wants and trained me according to them. Because of him I got to where I am! Seriously amazing!

Coach Hieu was a great coach. After the first training session, my son learned the proper techniques in controlling the ball. Coach Hieu gave my son the confidence that he can improve his game. Most importantly , the Coach was patient and was detailed in explaining what he wanted in the training. My son enjoyed listening and learning what the coach had to say. Coach Hieu is one of the best coach. If you want to improve your game, I would recommend Coach Marcelo.
