Kara is an awesome Personal Trainer! I hate exercise, and Kara manages to make it fun with her special brand of encouragement. She knows how to motivate me like no other! In fact, I've worked with personal trainers in the past, and I have never stuck with it for more than three weeks. I have been working with Kara one to two times each week for a few months now, and I have lost about 10 lbs. Kara is always willing to work around my hectic schedule, and she is able to adjust workouts because of my health issues that can sometimes make working out painful. Kara has taken the time to show me proper form for a variety of exercises, and I now have the confidence to work out at home. Kara is the best around!!
Before I went to Stacy, I have been losing and gaining weight for 20+ years, trying all the latest fads and drugs. I did lose weight but I could never keep it off. So a friend of mine told me about Stacy so I called her. Let me start by saying, if you don't want to hear the truth and follow the plan then you wont do well. I remember saying, I have done it before and lost the weight so I know what I am doing and she said something like, no, if you could do it, you wouldn't be calling me. She told me to think about because she didn't want to take my money for me to waste my time. I was like wow, no one every really put it to me that way. I hung up the phone and thought about it all night. I woke I was like this what I have been looking for all this time. So I started in April, 4 1/2 months ago, with her as my nutritionist, and doing the boot camps plus personal training. She knows what she is doing, has a lot of training and knows her stuff. Everyone has their own food plan built for you as well as the training. I have seen such great results and not just physical but mental as well as learning so much about how your body works, food etc. She genuinely cares about the people she takes on as clients and she wont throw any punches. She tells it like it is. When you join you also develop friendships with those you train with and also those who are cheering you on during boot camps etc. This is a lifestyle change for me and I have to give all my thanks and appreciation to Stacy and all the trainers!
Friendly, Personable, and Flexible. So far I really enjoy my personal trainer, at first I didn't want a guy but I give it a try and I don't mind having a male personal trainer. He pushes me harder and encourages me to do good :)
He will motivate you to accomplish your goals whether it is loosing weight, strength, or fitness runs. He is flexible with your schedule. He is willing to make you better. I had never trained with a personal trainer. It is well worth it.
Crissa Jackson is an outstanding personal trainer. Me and two of my training partners used Crissa to prepare for a Tough Mudder race. Wow is all I can say. With her superb coaching we finished in style and were the oldest competitors there. Our ages range from 55-59 years old. Crissa has a keen understanding of the older athlete and the much needed recovery time between workouts. I was very sad to see her move out of California as I miss her and her coaching. Do yourself a favor and hire her as your personal trainer! You will get stronger and feel better! She is the best!!
Suzy is a wonderful person and a great personal trainer. She works one on one with each of her clients and customizes a training program for each person's specific needs. Barb and I have been friends for a few years now. I've had the honor to witness her being a wonderful wife and amazing mom. Recently, I've had the privilege of working with her on this awesome 'getting fit' journey! This journey is not mine alone, she's with me every step of the way! There are many great trainers out there to work with, but, in my opinion, what sets Barb separate from all the rest is her sincere desire to help others achieve their fitness goals. She's had her own personal struggles and isn't afraid to share with those that will benefit from knowing that she has walked the same walk in her own life years ago. When I was ready to make the change with my own health and happiness, Barb was the only one that I would turn to. And I'm so very happy that I did!! Barb and I have worked together for over 2 months and I've learned so much from her. She's not only created a workout that is specific to me and my physical needs, but is thorough in her explanation and very detailed. We do not live in the same town or state, so we do everything via Skype, texts, FB messages, and phone calls. Shes literally only a phone call away. Barb is available 24/7, and I know this to be true, because I've needed a little push here or there and she's never failed to give me exactly what I need to get me through a workout or a difficult meal decision. I know she has many clients, but she has a way of making me feel like I'm her only one! And I'm sure that's how it is with each and every client, because that's just the type of person she is. She's sincere, dedicated, fun, and knowledgeable. Barb is the complete package when looking for knowledge, direction, and support. I've nicknamed her the "nice" Jillian Michaels, because she pushes you to a level that you just don't think you can reach, all with a smile on her face. Because, she knows that you CAN reach that level and more. I'm eternally grateful for her and once you work with Barb, you'll feel the exact same way as I do!
I had the same personal trainer for over a dozen years so when she moved out of the area I had a great deal of trepidation about "starting over" with someone new. However, I should not have worried! On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate Julien a 10. In addition to being extremely knowledgeable and professional, he also is able to craft an exercise program to suit your particular needs and age. I probably am one of Julien's older clients so I really do appreciate the fact that when we do an exercise he takes the time to explain in detail the purpose behind it. Plus, as an added bonus, his great sense of humor and conversational skills help make our workout sessions more fun. J.P., Bethesda
I typically do not write reviews, but Dru is the best! I've always been so discouraged by personal trainers and outrageous session fees. I'm simply a college student looking to get back into shape and feel confident in my own skin. Dru makes it so easy to stay on a budget and live healthier at the same time!
