Rey was hired to service a boiler in a rental unit. I thought I just needed a cleaning and the radiators bled but he found deficiencies in the boiler systems and fixed them. The clogged chimney flue could have caused carbon monoxide to be released into the house. Potential dangerous situation discovered and avoided. He was very knowledgeable and professional. Boiler was cleaned, radiators were bled, the chimney flue was unclogged, and proper chimney clean out was installed. The heating system is working and up to code. His price is reasonable and performed in a timely manner. I will definitely hire him again for future jobs.

I found Alex on Thumbtack after looking at his many great reviews. I message him on a Sunday and he responded immediately. He came by to look at my boiler the next day and recommended me to replace my boiler, after he saw that my boiler was from 1972. He was very transparent by saying that he can replace the pressure pump (my pressure pump was bad and not pushing water to the radiators in my back room) but being that the boiler is over 50 years old that replacing the boiler will make the most sense. Then I won’t have to worry about it for 15-20 years. He also recommended fixing the vent/repair chimney. Alex and his team were available to do the work two a days before Thanksgiving but I opted to have Alex and his team to start the Monday following Thanksgiving. The day of install, Alex and his team came by got the work done and cleaned up after themselves. They are very professional and the price is fair. I would recommend Alex’s Company and definitely use them again.

Our 38-year-old boiler broke down at the start of a cold snap. We contacted AL Group HVAC and they were able to come same day to assess the problem. This guy took a piece off our gas valve that caused gas to leak out when the boiler was turned on, then told us we needed a gas valve replacement. For various reasons, I didn't trust the diagnosis, so another neighbor recommended pro came to look. He discovered there was a piece removed from the gas valve, sitting near the boiler, that was causing the valve to leak gas. When he reattached it, the problem was fixed. The boiler had stopped previously because it was too hot, and just needed a reset. I returned the valve I purchased and moved back into my home--we had to stay in a hotel for two nights for a problem that didn't exist. I can't speak on his intentions for sure, but it appears to new this person was trying to take advantage of the fact that a snowstorm is on the way and I have a family, to get me to pay for service I didn't need. Or maybe he just didn't know what he was doing.
