This bootcamp is exactly what I was looking for in a high intensity, fat burning workout! The workouts are different every time, so you don't get comfortable and the class has a good mix of age groups so you feel like you can fit in even if the overall fitness levels vary.
Kenny Mack and Empowered Recreation are fantastic! . ER is really more than just a "place to workout". It is a community of people who encourage each other to be the best they can be. The bootcamps challenge you to work hard and get results! The personal training with Coach Mack helps you focus on specific goals and train smart. I recommend ER if you are looking for a community of positive people who are going to keep you accountable and coming back for more!
Ian does not do all of the training - he has a staff who works with incoming clients. Kevin, my trainer has been good so far - but possibly taking in too many clients as follow through is not A+.
Keith has been training me since October 2013. With Keith's training and continued motivation and support, I exceeded my fitness goal, lost over 20 pounds by February 2014. Since then, I continue to train with him, and I have maintained my current weight and now focus on toning. Every day is a unique set of exercises; always changing, and as a result I'm sore and progressing.

As a traveling nurse, I work for 3 months in different areas of the country. Ive done boot-camp-ish workouts on my own to online videos, and Ive had gym memberships, but joining a class is by far the most motivating way for me to exercise and a great way to meet people in a new area! Upon moving to Tumwater, I googled nearby bootcamp classes, sent out some emails, and immediately received a welcoming and detailed reply from Amanda Price-Salazar, inviting me to try out a class at Edge Fitness. I loved it, and it happened to be really close to my apt, so now I look forward to biking to every workout! Amanda offers lots of membership options with great prices, and you can drop into any class (offered 5 times a week). This flexibility was key for my participation, because my schedule is different every week. Amanda and the other trainers are super knowledgeable, have great energy, encourage you, push you hard, teach you how to use different equipment, and emphasize good form so you dont hurt yourself. Im sad to be leaving these classes in a week for my next job assignment, because itll be hard to find a class and trainers as awesome as this.
I mostly attend Desi's group classes throughout the week and bootcamp on Saturdays. The Bryce, Desi, Kallan and Alex are all very encouraging, upbeat and caring about me as a person. They want to help me maximize my workouts while still maintaining good form so as to not injure myself. I look forward to my workouts, most of the time. ;-)
Erica has been my Healthy Edge coach as well as my personal trainer. She is excellent. She is professional, knowledgeable, passionate about fitness and wellness, and a great motivator. She doesn't just teach the Healthy Edge program; she lives it! She practices what she preaches. I also attend her fitness classes, which are always excellent. I would recommend Erica as a Healthy Edge coach to anyone that is truly looking to change their life in a positive healthful way!
Lonnie listens to my needs and how far I can go or not go. I have injuries to my shoulder and we're working on rehab. Great attitude and easy to work with. Appts. are easy to schedule and his knowledge of body mechanics is excellent.
Hugh is a model of professionalism. He always knows how hard to push and so I am often amazed that I can do what he asks of me. My strength is so improved that my son in law is bragging on Hugh! I always leave my sessions feeling invigorated. I can recommend Hugh with zero reservations. Simple tasks such as scrubbing floors or washing windows no longer mean a week of recovery for my shoulders and back. I can now move my furniture without triggering a tension headache. And best of all, I can carry my grandson without hurting my back. Thank you Hugh, got helping me enjoy life again.
Ronald Lashley has been my personal trainer intermittently over the last three years. During that time he has helped me to improve my physical well-being by losing a total of 45 pounds and increasing my physical health and stamina considerably. Along with personal training he has provided me with excellent advice regarding nutrition and supplementation to support my progress. he has also help me to regain strength and confidence following injury. In addition to this he has served as an excellent mentor for me in my AdvoCare business.
Ryans bootcamp are awesome. He pushes you to complete each work and dig into mental toughness to develop strength. Having had serious injuries in the past his attention to format not only gave me confidence but assurance that each workout was safe. Each week I walk away sore but feeling successful and look forward to bootcamp each Saturday morning.
I have worked with Courtney on and off for the past year for workout ideas, diet help, as well as a fitness coach and advisor. Regardless of what capacity you work with her in, Courtney is always optimistic, upbeat, and endlessly supportive - tremendous assets when trying to make difficult life changes! Another wonderful part of working with Courtney is that while she acts as a wonderful support system, she also holds you accountable for your choices and goals. If you happen to go off track (as we all do), her first priority is helping you get back on the path towards fitness and health. I couldn't imagine working with anyone who is more professional and extremely personable than Courtney. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone interested in making big changes to their health and fitness.
Of coarse I am a little bias. As any Father would be. Jordan has always worked very hard and will work hard for her clients. Jordan was a student athlete through Junior High and High School. Playing Soccer for Premier Soccer Club until High School and then started running Cross Country and competed at the State and National Levels at the same time she was also part of the Cheer team. She was accepted onto the cheer team of both collages that she tried out for. While training for Cross Country Jordan would take Ice baths to treat her shin splints, while most people would just spot training. Not Jordan. She worked out in the Pool, so she could keep up her pace. I Collage Jordan competed in Triathlons. So like I said Jordan is a hard worker, knows how to work around challenges, and modify a program to keep her Client motivated and moving toward their goals. I have had Jordan work with me on my fitness goals and was very impressed with her Professional approach, even with Dad If you are looking for Fitness Nutrition Coach. Jordan will do the Job.
I've worked out with Belton and Rommel for 3 years. I have met and maintained my goals of being stronger and healthier. They are very knowledgeable and their work outs are fun and well organized. I'm twice the age of most of the bootcampers but they motify exercises when I need it. I would hate to think what shape I'd be in if I didn't work out weekly with Belton and Rommel!
