Brian and Simona did an amazing job at our wedding! Simona was just very helpful from the beginning. She created our timeline which made us feel better knowing that everything was planned out throughout the day. Additionally, she was always open to helping us out in any way she could. If we had questions she was quick to answer them. Even ones not .dj related. On our wedding day, they were both extra early to set up and they made sure everything ran smoothly. The reception music was absolutely great too! Brian really knew how to read the crowd and played the perfect music to get everyone on the dancefloor. The photo booth was a huge hit. At the end of the night, we were able to take home a photo album with all of the pictures taken from the night. We love our album. The inflatable booth was so much fun. Overall they did an amazing job. We will definitely recommend Picture Perfect Mobile Sound and Photo Booth services to everyone!

Dexter was Excellent and wonderful to work with. He was very helpful when it came to song choices. He helped us with our music playlist since, we were kind of unsure on what kind of music we should play at our wedding. He send us a list of top songs and suggestions for everything which I must say I am extremely pleased with and really appreciated him taking his time out to make our wedding day perfect. He showed up early and was done with set up extremely fast. He made our wedding day prefect. Thank you again Dexter for making our wedding day amazing. Heather and Eric

I couldn't if been happier with the services provided by Jacks!! My make-up was perfect. I felt beautiful and got many compliments after my trial and especial at my wedding! I wish I could have Jacks do my makeup everyday. I definitely plan to use Jacks again! My 20 yr HS reunion is coming up in June and I have to look amazing for that :) I highly recommend Jacks to anyone who wants to look and feel beautiful for their special event. Especially at a fair price. It was extremely reasonable for myself and my wedding party to have our makeup done. My mom even has her makeup done. He stayed with me and made sure I walked the aisle and looked my best as we started really early and to have pictures done ahead of the ceremony. My photographer was actually late a Jacks was very calming to us and called his friend to bring his camera equipment to help us out! I could go on and on about how wonderful Jacks is!!! You are the BEST!! So glad I picked you and our paths crossed :) Thanks Jacks!

We had a small outdoor wedding of less than 100 people. Isaiah was up and running in no time… We even threw him a curveball because we hadn't selected a processional song, he didn't miss a beat and had one queued up for us. He is very personable and got along great with the guests and helped to make our wedding day awesome.

K & S Main Street Music helped DJ my wedding and I couldn't have had more fun. My husband is in the military so our wedding was very last minute and we didn't even have a DJ until 2 days before the event. They're very reasonably priced, are so nice to work with and agreed to help out even if it was so last minute. They also helped out immensely with the ceremony music as well. They made sure our music choices were there and set up to play the way we wanted them. If you're looking for a DJ for your next event I would highly recommend hiring K & S!

Monib’s counseling changed my life I was not sure what to expect as far as “results” go. I can say I don’t cope with the trauma that has happened in my life I have conquered it. I no longer deal with anxiety and depression and I don’t have to take any medications, I have reconciled with a lot of people in my life. It was a hard but beautiful process very much worth the time and effort.

Shari and Anita of Moonoverindy provided day-of wedding coordination for my son's wedding. I hadn't known I needed such a service but boy was it great to have them. They took care of everything we needed, coordinated with all the vendors, created a moment-by-moment timeline, and much more. To call them "day-of-the-wedding coordinators" is misleading because they were in touch with our vendors from the moment we hired them. I can't recommend them highly enough! And their rates are reasonable.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What is a videographer and what do they do?

A videographer professionally films weddings and other events and edits the footage to create film keepsakes or marketing materials for their clients. Wedding videographers record all the key elements of your wedding day, ceremony and reception, and then edit the hours of film during post-production to make a wedding video, social media highlight reels, and any other film features you choose. Wedding videography captures, in live action, your vows, the cake-cutting, the first dance, reception toasts, the decor, the guests and all the details of your day. Many wedding videographers also interview guests (based on an interview list provided by the couple) and incorporate the recorded responses into the wedding video. Event videography typically costs less than wedding videography, as events are shorter with less detail. The national average cost for event videography is $500-$760, while the national average cost for wedding videography is $990-$1,260. A videographer usually does not need to be licensed, but it is important to confirm they have insurance and good standing in the business community, as well as good client reviews. A great majority of the work happens during post-production. The pros watch and blend together the hours of footage they took (sometimes from multiple cameras) to capture the story of your wedding day or event.

What is a wedding planner?

A wedding planner is a professional service provider whose job it is to organize and execute all the details of a couple’s wedding. A wedding planner can be contracted at any stage in the wedding planning process to help to any degree the couple is willing to pay for. Wedding planning is similar to event planning in that a planning team handles the coordination of multiple wedding elements including catering, venue, guests, entertainment, decor, transportation and more. Anyone who has ever been involved in a wedding can confirm that wedding planning is hard work. Experience brings wisdom when it comes to avoiding or resolving day-of challenges. There is no legal regulatory body that oversees or certifies wedding planning as an industry. Anyone who chooses can call themselves a wedding planner. When looking for a wedding planner, be sure to read reviews, and make smart hiring decisions by asking about licenses and insurance.

How do you choose a wedding videographer?

A wedding videographer will create a lifetime memory for you from edited video footage of your wedding day, ceremony and reception. Choosing a wedding videographer starts with looking online at portfolios of their past work. There’s no need to talk to anyone unless you love what you see. Next, make sure they have good reviews and past client experience; don’t be shy about asking for references if there aren’t any posted online. When you find someone who has a style you love, ask if they are available on your wedding day. If so, it’s time to talk pricing. Be clear about your maximum budget, and ask what kind of packages they offer. Pricing will depend on the number of crew needed for filming, the hours they are required to be onsite, post-production editing, and the length of the final product. Talk with several wedding videographers to get a feel for what prices are like in your region. Nationally, the average cost for wedding videography ranges between $990 and $1,260 per event. Once you agree on a product and have a plan, get everything in a written and signed contract. Clearly state the details of what is expected for your wedding day and from the final product. Be prepared to pay a deposit to reserve their services for the day, then pay the remainder upon receiving the video.

How much does it cost for a photographer for a wedding?

Finding the right wedding photographer can make a big difference for your ceremony. Nationally, the average wedding photographer’s price ranges from $800 to $1,000, but costs can be much higher in areas like Chicago, New York or Los Angeles where some couples spend $2,000 to $5,000 or more for the photographer they want. Factors that can affect your wedding photographer prices include the photographer’s reputation and experience. Heavy hitters can command top rates, especially during wedding-season weekends. Day of the week also affects your cost. You may get a $200 discount on wedding photographer prices if you get married on a Friday in November rather than a Saturday in June. Time onsite is also an important cost factor. Hiring a photographer to snap photos from the moment you wake up until after last call at the reception is going to cost more than five hours of pictures during the day. Multiple photographers, special lighting, and videography will also increase your costs. Ultimately you want to find someone who has a style you love and can provide the number of edited shots you want for a price you can handle. Learn more about hiring a wedding photographer.

What should you ask your wedding videographer before hiring?

Finding the perfect wedding videographer doesn’t have to be stressful. Asking a few key questions upfront will help you find the right fit for your big day. Before talking with wedding videographers, research their work online. Look at their websites, business profiles and social media, and see what their finished wedding videos look like. If the style fits what you’re envisioning, it’s time to reach out. During initial contact, make sure you get along with the person. This is important since they’ll be interacting with you and your guests.

Your first question should be about their availability; there’s no point in going further if they’re booked on your wedding day. Ask to see references if they’re not readily available online. Next, it’s time to talk about money. Ask how they determine rates or what kind of packages they offer. When you settle on a rate and the services you want, make sure to have a written contract that outlines everything, including cost, length of time they film, what post-production will include, and when you can expect to receive the edited project.
