To give some background, I was a recovering bulimic who obsessed with food and absolutely hated looking at the mirror. I’ve tried personal trainers a couple years of ago (usually the ones that give free sessions with your gym membership), but they didn’t help with building a positive self-image. Finally, I was fed up with my body and my strength (or lack thereof), so I googled for affordable personal trainers outside of gyms with good reviews. One of the reasons I picked Brandon right away is because of his affordable rate. Forty dollars per session is a steal, especially when he drives to your location and pays for his own parking at your own appointed time. That kind of service is very helpful for a struggling college student. Not to mention, he quickly identified a good meal plan, and he used the free assessment to really personalize the workouts he gives. It also helps to have a trainer who cares about your progress and doesn’t beat you up if you have a bad week. Sometimes life happens, but at least he’s there to advise you on what you should change if something isn’t working. I think he caught on that I love positive reinforcement, because his encouragement and advice really pushed me to change my lifestyle. The weight loss wasn’t even the best part about his training. I used to hate sports, athletics, or any kind of physical activity, but now I love running. Working out has officially replaced my netflix binges. I am super thankful and happy that I’ve had this experience.

I've never worked with a personal trainer before, and was a little weary, but Brandon has been incredible and instantly put me at ease. In the months we've been training together I've improved my diet (with Brandon's help), increased my strength, stamina and feel better about where I'm at physically. Brandon takes a genuine interest in your goals and sets a plan to help you achieve your fitness objective. As someone who is recovering from an accident, Brandon has tailored my workouts to help me push myself, but also takes my physical limitations into consideration. It's been a great experience so far. After months of urging from my wife, who had been training for nearly a year with John, I decided to make the personal investment to get more fit. My original motivation was to improve my golf game. I had lost distance and flexibility with my swing. Since December 2013, I've trained two days a week (60 minutes each session) with John to build strength and flexibility. During that time, I've lost 20 lbs of fat, added 21.5 lbs of muscle, and reduced my percentage of body fat over 10 points. My weight is actually unchanged but my physique is clearly improved. I've noticed subtle changes like better posture, endurance for activities, and my clothes fit differently (smaller waist, broader chest and shoulders). My wife has noticed a smaller stomach, thinner face, and smooth skin. Weight loss was not a primary goal for me (I enjoy food and alcohol too much too surrender those pleasures), but I recently had to provide blood work for an annual physical exam and was surprised with the change from a year ago. All of my health metrics (cholesterol, triglycerides, etc...) had significantly improved such that I will likely be able to discontinue at least one, if not more, medications. I also had my lowest blood pressure readings in at least five years. Obviously, I was very pleased with those results. And yes, the strength and conditioning work John has designed has allowed me to recoup and exceed my prior golf abilities. I recovered all of my distance, plus added an additional 15-20 yards per club. I recently had two 300 yard plus drives in the same round. A first for me. I was excited and amazed at my improved fitness. A personal trainer isn't cheap (he runs a business), but the cost in comparison to excessive medications and other unnecessary medical care is cost effective in the long run. It's money well spent. John's personable, has a great sense of humor, enjoys movie quotes and holds you accountable for your fitness improvement. I'm doing exercises (strength and conditioning) that I would've found laughable eight months ago (i.e. pirouette push-ups). John is the direct link to that improvement and performance.

I had always been active but my solo workouts weren’t giving me the desired results. Choosing John Peters as my personal trainer changed all that. During my two years working out with John, he taught me how to get the most out of my strength training and cardio. John is knowledgeable, accessible and responsive. What I most appreciate about John is that he made an effort to know me and what type of workouts I needed to be successful. He made me work hard and once I saw the results I was able to make myself work hard. I moved to Texas five years ago. I keep asking him to move here because I can’t find a quality trainer that kicks my butt like he did. Jessica is an amazing trainer. When I began training with Jess almost 3 years ago I was a year out from having twins. I learned early on from Jess that that inches come off faster than the pounds. After 4 months I was down 10lbs and that didn't seem like a lot but I lost 27inches and went from a size 12 to a size 6. With monthly measurements you can see and feel that you are achieving a goal and that building muscle does not mean bulking up if done right! As time progressed and I built more muscle, literally one day the pounds just flew off (20+ lbs lost). I stated when we met that I would never be able to do a sit up. I have since blown that out of the water and run numerous 5k's, 10k's, and 3 half marathons! The last being Big Sur, my dream! I also had a very high and erratic heart rate. After 3 years my heart rate has improved and is 30-40 beats lower while running. I now understand the need for a personal trainer. She pushes me beyond what I would make myself do. However, Jess will also listen as I have chronic IT Band issues. She understands when I say that I need to back down on something (as I never back down). Jess is an amazing trainer who will teach you new things about yourself and introduce you to new workouts you may not think of (TRX, Yoga, Boxing, how to use paper plates in a workout if you don't have equipment). She is truly amazing and most importantly we work as a team to achieve goals together! It speaks volumes that now my mother has come to understand why I use a trainer. My mother has now taken up strength training and yoga with Jess at the age of 62!

I have been working with Bennett for about 2 months now and am very happy I contacted him. I am pretty new to fitness and have never been a regular gym goer. I always had some excuse in the past, but I became tired of not having the energy to keep up with my kids. Bennett has helped me with my mindset, confidence and persistence in working toward my fitness goals. I was a bit nervous to contact a personal trainer since I’ve never really gone to the gym with any regularity and didn’t know what to expect (plus Jillian Michaels and trainers like her scare me), but Bennett has been the very opposite of those stereotypical personal trainers. For one, he is an excellent listener and wants to know your goals and your body’s trouble areas. He is careful not to push too hard and is very keen on safety. Most importantly, he does things the right way, with the whole picture of fitness and diet and proper form and safety. He will meet you at whatever stage you are at and work with you to increase your health and fitness. One of his favorite expressions is “For now,” as in “Bennett, I am having a hard time doing this exercise.” “For now,” he’ll say, pointing me toward a fitter future. I see a lot of the reviews are from people who have been working with Bennett for 4+ years, so as a newbie I am speaking to people just now considering (or who have hesitated to consider for whatever reason) working with a personal trainer. It's an incredible experience to step into a room with a professional trainer that has the kind of expertise and history that a man like Doug Moore has. The modern day version of Jack Lalanne. It didn't matter whether Doug was talking about his professional accomplishments as a champion weight lifter or overcoming personal adversity following a car accident it was clear that a key to his success is the tremendous internal drive to keep making progress towards his goals. No excuses. That is the same type of energy he conveys when designing a workout strategy for a client and motivating them to be successful. I understood he would be there to guide and support but ultimate success was my responsibility. A great lesson to start out with from from someone that has been there. Chris is an excellent well rounded personal trainer. He is very passionate about what he does and very caring about each individual person he works with. Not only does he provide a good work-out routine (in the gym and homework) but he also provides powerful insights on nutrition to help you get to your goals. Several times I was struggling with life itself so he took the time and talked through these items with me to encourage me, keep me moving forward and keep me motivated with my fitness goals during those hard times. He does a great job providing a wide variety of work-outs so your never bored. Over the past year, I have yet to do a work-out with him that is the same. He has intense hard calorie burning workouts, heavy weight lifting workouts, and area focused workouts that are tailored to your specific goals. Being a tennis competitor I have had to wear a knee brace for the past 4 years. With his strength training program, and working through my knee injuries I have been without a knee brace for 4 months now! On top of that I'm quicker on the court and can really jump up and take tennis balls out of the air for a more aggressive play. I have been training at Train Your Way Fitness for 2 1/2 months now between 2-3 times a week. I can visibly see changes in my body and my endurance. I have been training with Michelle Carlson and she has pushed my body to its limits which is something I was never able to do on my own. Michelle has always been on time with her session times and makes sure I get my full value out of my time with her. She even has created my own personal book so I can keep track of my progress and my health statistics. If you are looking for someone who is friendly and kind, but can push you when you're not giving 100%, I'd recommend Michelle!

I have been training with Victor for about 2 years now. When I started I was new to going to the gym. I was uncomfortable, over weight and out of shape. Victor saw me and wanted to encourage me to keep me coming back. He helped me modify the exercises and made sure I was using the proper form. I can happily say I have lost over 100 pounds. I have gained strength, confidence and regained my self respect. I have grown to care for all the members of our bootcamp family. Over the last five years I've gone through more trainers then I can count. For one reason or another, they never work out. That is until I met Steve. I've been training with Steve for over a year now, and he is a perfect match for me. He doesn't let me walk away from my goals (trust me I've tried). He's motivating, dedicated, and educated in fitness. Working in healthcare, I know a lot about the human body. So it's easy for me to spot a phoney trainer (someone who pretends they know what their talking about). Steve is just the opposite, he is educated and passionate about his career and it shows. ive already referred friends and family to Hoke fitness and have yet to find someone who disagrees with me. Steve is hands down the best trainer I have ever worked with. He makes me feel so comfortable training with him. He goes above and beyond just training. He constantly checks in on me making sure I'm staying on top on my nutrition, meal prepping, gym etc. He sits with you and educates you on diet, customizes your workout so its specific to you and your body. Also he educates you on what you should be doing at the gym by yourself so you don't always NEED him which is really cool. Most trainers don't do that. He truly cares about your goals and pushes you to acheive them and see results. Both him and his gym are fantastic. I have had amazing success with Coach Drees Training. I have tried just about everything out there and have not gotten where I wanted to be. From other personal trainers, weight loss programs, to nutritionists. I have seen the healthiest and best results from my training with Coach Drees. His expertise in the exercise movements and the proper form in doing so has made a huge difference in my success.
