I'd been plunking away at the piano by myself for about a year when I decided to take lessons from Liam. I'm so glad I did. He is a challenging teacher but manages to also be fun and funny. I leave my lessons with a new set of objectives to practice over the week which helps me continue to make progress. His lessons are the perfect mix of technique and artistry. Highly recommended.

My daughter has only been working with Laura a few months and it has been going really great. Laura communicates the lessons very clearly to the students. My daughter is learning and she isn't overwhelmed or confused between lessons or unsure of what he assignments are. Laura, is very good at determining the students level. This hasn't always been the case with other piano teachers. Laura is very patient and kind also. My daughter feels very comfortable and relaxed and is really learning. As a parent Laura is very easy to work with. She is very professional and reliable and I also know what needs to happen with the lessons. Which I appreciate. She is a very good teacher.

Honestly, she's the best. I've made significant progress over the last few months I've been learning from her. She's very enthusiastic. She's really into positive reinforcement. When you learn a song with the left hand, you get a sticker, when you learn a song with the right hand, you get a sticker, when you can play with both hands, you get a third sticker. I'm 32 and for some reason, that even works for me. She hosts end of year recitals which I think would be really great for children. She's pretty flexible with the schedule as long as you tell her early on before your scheduled lesson. Her lessons are structured for sight reading, technique, theory and classical training, as well as pop songs. She will let you pick a pop song and play it if you're on that technique level, but she's honest with you if you aren't there yet. She's a great teacher, honestly. Look her up on YouTube. I felt bad that she has to listen to me play Mary Had A Little Lamb when she's basically a piano savant.

I started studying with David about a year ago after numerous previous attempts to learn piano (including at conservatory), and I came to lessons with significant music experience having studied guitar for over 40 years, voice for over 20 years, and with significant exposure to composition and music theory. Still, something always missed when it came to anything close to proficiency on the piano. I chose and David agreed to let me pursue a piece that I had previously studied and attempted to play without mastering the piece. Using David’s logical methodology and performance coaching, I am further along in the piece than I have ever been able to achieve and am able to perform anywhere, anytime from memory. Working with David, I have made huge strides forward in performance ability, solidity of memory and consistency in performance. I have the good fortune of more recently working one-on-one with David as well as being a longer term member of his Pianist Collective.   Even without the one-on-one exposure, my experience in the collective has greatly elevated my playing not to mention my confidence as a performer. I have had a wonderful experience meeting other like-minded members of the Collective, and I really feel like I am part of a team that are all rooting for me to succeed!  It has been also extremely valuable working with Isidora (one of David’s senior teachers) - both live and asynchronously. Not only do I get the benefit of one but two masters of the instrument to facilitate my progress.  Both are expert in utilizing David’s proprietary  methodologies including identifying sets, adding in reverse, the specific notational system, spaced repetition, interleaving, physical technique, mental practice, emotional practice, and strategic considerations on many different levels. David’s methodology translates to my other musical studies, and utilizing crossover methods I have become a better musician all around.  More than anything, David has taught me the essence of the performer’s mindset - really the foundation of all learning and my continued success. Practically speaking, David is very accessible, easy to reach, and helpful outside of our individual lesson times and the Collective meetings. David and I have formed a personal relationship that goes beyond teacher and student. He really, really cares. Not only about me as a pianist, musician and performer, but as a human being.  David’s coaching is transcendent.  My journey as a person and a musician is infinitely better having met and gotten to work with David.
