Ben is not just a very talented personal trainer but he is also a friend to all of his clients. I can tell he genuinely cares about my health and fitness as well as my life in general. He at times will act as your life coach and inspirational speaker during your sessions or he will just make you smile to make working out as fun as it can possibly be. His training sessions for sure push me to work out harder than I ever would on my own, he has really helped me reach my fitness goals and get in great shape for summer! I've never had a trainer before and didn't really know what to expect. All of the trainers are very personable. Even when I work out with my trainer, the other trainers give you a positive shout when you're doing well or need a posititive push on harder days. The workouts make me comfortable with all aspects of the gym and I always feel well informed about each exercise. If your trainer isn't available, there are plenty of opportunities to jump into another trainer's workout. I still haven't found a love for working out but the trainers at Serious about Fitness make it fun.

As a coach myself, I know the value of coaching and the impact it can have on your success. So when I decided to train for a ½ marathon the choice to get a coach was clear. I worked with Angela because she combines her coaching with a background as a personal trainer. This was a great choice. Angela helped me stay on track with my exercise and even got me focused on doing core work. We Skyped and she demonstrated specific exercises I could do to work my core, then observed me and gave me feedback. Tough. Thorough. Tailored. Coach Z's individualized training regiment was designed specifically for me and has, and is, paying off incredibly. I have trained with three other trainers before Z, one of which was for a body building competition. The shortcuts I took with that personal trainer have left long term negative affects on my body. Back, knee, and IT band injuries had left me frustrated, unmotivated, and overweight. What had worked before, did not work anymore. My girl friend found Z on Thumbtack and set up a meeting for me without my knowledge. I was initially resistant- but it didn't take long to let my guard down and trust in Z's guidance. In only a couple of months, my body and overall well being has improved greatly. Z's training helped by body work through injury and my body's imbalances - all the while helping me lose a lot of weight! Also, I am military and his training has helped me get back in shape to do my job. Z always goes above and beyond - even coordinating with me and my chiropractor and orthopedic specialist. My boyfriend and I have been working out with William for a couple months, and he has been fantastic! He's been very flexible, easy to communicate with, and has tailored the program to our unique needs. The workouts are always hard but achievable, and William has been great at mixing them up so we never get bored. My boyfriend and I have both made a ton of progress already - in terms of weightloss, building strength, and cardio health. The best part is that he comes to our house and brings everything with him. Most weeks he leaves equipment behind as well so we have access to it between sessions - everything from TRX straps to kickboxing gear. I've struggled with keeping up a good routine in the past because I hate going to the gym, so it's been super helpful having him come to me. Coach Williams has been a heaven sent, I have been dealing with injuries caused by my Army service for well over 10yr now I have tried a large variety of wellness and fitness plans as well as physical therapy to no avail. The pain stiffness soreness never seemed to diminish. One day I was looking on Thumbtack just really browsing and seen advertisement for a personal trainer, I figured what do I have to lose. Anthony whose the Body Transformation owner really pushes me to work different areas of my body in training. I do a variety of different exercises that doesn't feel like a hamster on a wheel like at the gym. I enjoy the variety and different levels of moves and exercises. He's also very thorough on making sure sure I got the correct form performed correctly so that I don't get injured. He sure knows what he's doing as far as training goes. I highly recommend him as a personal trainer as he gives me "tough love" when it comes to fitness. I appreciate it when I look in the mirror and notice my slimmer figure over time. Anthony makes sure that your form is correct and that you're constantly being pushed so you get the most out of every workout. I am a senior with multiple, complex medical problems. Roxanne worked diligently to customize an exercise program that has had significant positive results. Her program has made it possible for me to improve my balance, endurance, and muscle strength. She is so enjoyable to work with that the exercise time flies by. When I relocated to an area further from her home, she accommodated me by driving a longer distance and increasing my exercise time. Exercising with Roxanne is never boring. She achieves a high level of motivation by introducing just the right amounts of novelty and variety in her exercise routines. I have been training at Ligot Training Systems for 8 months. Before that I tried several gyms and worked out with several trainers but, never felt like I was learning or gaining anything. A friend of mine invited me to try Ligot Systems and I was hooked immediately, the trainers are knowledgeable and very friendly and they make sure to create a workout that fits your needs. I had bad knees due to my years of playing competitive sports and usually that was the reason I will stop working out, but now my knees feel better than ever and working out is always fun. I never thought that I will have so much fun working out or that I will look forward to my next training day! Curt and Jared...What more can I say. I've been at this studio for a year and a half. The best alternative to going to regular gym. The workouts do not seem intense at first but they truly are. The main emphasis is on Core/Abdominal and Resistance training. Both trainers have their unique ways of getting the best out of you. Curt teaches his methods of exercise in a more laid back and relaxed approach, while Jared is more technical on form and function. Overall, I would recommend any one to join this studio to get the results you really want!

I would consider myself a pretty serious fitness nut and have worked out with trainers for over 15 years. I can say, by far, this is the most effective and fun workout ever. Cardio - yep, resistance - yep, strength, core, and balance - yep. Small group setting with individual attention. Effective and fun - hard to beat. You will be amazed at the results without the hurt. I've been working with Nick for some time now. He's a great personal trainer who is personable, helpful, and above all, knowledgable. I mean, this guy knows his stuff! He has helped me realize how my diet and work-out habits affect my overall health. I've noticed a change in my body over the 12 weeks I trained with Nick (less fat...15 lb loss actually, more definition + more muscle...10 lb gain), but I've also noticed a change in how I view the food I eat and the way in which I work-out. I have Nick to thank for that. The head trainer Peter and I used to be coworkers. At the end of almost every day, we would clean up the rooms we worked in. This gave us a lot of time to talk about work, school, and life in general. During these talks I would complain a lot about the people in my life who made me feel awful and being unappreciated at our work. He saw right through my complaints and pushed me to confront my deeper issues of self-esteem and doubt. My tendency has always been to react very viscerally to negative things in my life, chalking it up to being an emotional person. I would dwell in my sadness in a way that in the past had led me through an eating disorder, and even after would lead to feelings of emotional exhaustion and depression. His advice always lead me to confront my feelings about negative situations and helped me think about the power I have to change the way I react to negativity and life in general. Peter began to encourage me to practice being mindful of my feelings and the triggers around me through meditation. Here are two BIG lessons that Peter helped me understand. #1: He helped me realize that negativity or “suffering”as the Buddhists refer to it, is part of life. Before I met Peter, I would obsess over why I suffered through bad things, always trying to put the blame on others or often putting the blame on myself. But Peter helped me change my mindset. I now am continually trying to be mindful of negativity and focus my energy on how to move through it. This has improved my performance at work, helping me become less of an inactive complainer and more of an active problem solver. It also continually helps me in my personal life, keeping me from dwelling too much in disappointment or sadness. #2: The second thing I learned from Peter is that meditation and mindfulness are practiced. They are not always going to be easy. Every meditation is not going to be peaceful and each sit down is different. But each one is impactful and offers moments of clarity. Though honestly, I have not committed myself to a daily practice of meditation, Peter has helped me begin a practice of mindfulness that is continually helping me grow. As I continue to practice I find those moments of peace and contentment. Mediation and mindfulness is a path that I am still carving out for myself but Peter gave me the tools to begin and continue my journey. Thank you Peter for helping me find this path!

It’s anxiety inducing because I have Tourette urges where I want to jump out into traffic or I worry about having tics where I fall and roll all over the floor, scraping my knee pretty badly but working with Peter Lucas has helped me formed a “just do it” mentality, living in the moment and stop forecasting so damn much. So now I go on brisk walks everyday for at least 20 minutes, workout five times a day for at least half an hour, and learning how to meditate and eat right. Even though it hasn’t been 12 weeks yet (the amount of time I am working with Peter) I can vouch that he is compassionate, loving, understanding, knowledgeable, patient, humorous, funny, free-spirited, laid-back and down to earth. Overall an amazing human being. I also appreciate his calmness and tranquility when I lunge at him, toss things at him, or have other tourette symptoms that night be startling and nerve wracking to others. It helps me remain calm and less anxious and to focus on my workout. Working out and especially using weights used to be something I didn’t believe I was capable of. The foundational information Peter has taught me has allowed me to feel safe and get the most benefit out of my workouts. It also showed me that weight training wouldn’t make my body bulky or huge. It’s helped me develop lean muscle and sculpt my body in a way I have always yearned for. Peter’s instruction and coaching has enabled me to create a sustainable fitness and wellness lifestyle that I never thought possible. I’ve since gained a newfound confidence lifting weights and working out that I’ve never had before in my entire life. I have even taught a few boxing classes! Without Peter’s guidance I know I wouldn’t be where I’m at physically or mentally.
