I have been having the Japanese lessons for over a month and really enjoy the learning experience. Akaya creates a lesson plan for my needs and shares learning materials ahead of the class. She also helps review my homework and regularly checks on the learning progress. Her interactive and dynamic teaching style makes the class quite fun. Apart from studying Japanese I also learn a lot about Japanese culture from the class. Will definitely recommend Akaya as an amazing Japanese tutor!

I had a great time taking lessons from Sakura Sensei. From the beginning, her dedication and her desire to see her students improve is very evident from her requirement that she ask students to have a consistent lesson schedule. Anyone serious about learning language knows that language takes practice and there is no way to avoid it. Do not be intimidated by her requirements, know that it's there to ensure that you're getting the most improvement in your Japanese abilities.
To also be transparent, the first few lessons, I felt a bit overwhelmed by all the information Sakura Sensei was giving during the lesson. However, I sent her an email sharing my concerns and she immediately adjusted the lesson format which I felt greatly improved the amount I could learn from the lesson. I really appreciated how Sakura Sensei was able to honestly talk about things I felt weren't working and quickly adapted the lesson to what works better. That's a really rare quality and I'm so grateful that she was open to it.
Unfortunately due to a change in my current circumstance, I had to pause my lessons with Sakura Sensei, but if you are serious about learning Japanese, you should definitely reach out to Sakura Sensei!
