I have been taking lessons from Mike for about a month now and it has been a fantastic experience so far. I have taken years of lessons in the past from multiple instructors and none of them can even almost compare to the knowledge and passion that Mike brings into every lesson. It is alot of fun to learn from someone who so clearly is doing what he loves and I truly look forward to learning so much more from him!
Jeffrey Keefer is a versatile and intuitive musician who gives his students amazing tools to play music and enjoy playing the music they love, right from the very start! I have wanted to be able to play the piano and the guitar my entire life. My parents paid good money for 'classical style' lessons for me when I was very young, but I never felt that I was successful in my early lessons as a child. As a result of these early lessons, I even lost some of my passion for the instruments because the lessons were such dull, sad, drudgery. Now that I am older, much older, I have even less patience for the "Hickory Dickory Dock" style songs that early learners are often limited to. Jeffrey's lessons are active and engaging and have practical applications for the real world of music today. I am learning to play music that I truly love after only a few lessons! Jeffrey provides the right tools to play fun music, right now. He also supports this knowledge with the important essentials for long term musicianship. I come from a family where all of my siblings were classically trained musicians (I was the only 'undisciplined one'). My sisters and brothers conceded in conversations over the years that music would have been much more of a joy for them if they could have learned by a 'Jeffrey Keefer' style method. For me, the desired result of these lessons is to play music and build valuable skills that enable me to play, right away. I am so jazzed about practicing every day and I can't wait to learn more at the next lesson. Jeffrey Keefer's teaching method has been a breakthrough for me after years of believing that I just wasn't musically 'gifted'. Now, I play!
I have only taken a handful of lessons with Melody, but I am very impressed with her teachings so far. I came in as a young adult knowing nothing about piano, and Melody has been an exceptionally patient teacher with me. She is so knowledgable and passionate about music that she made it her full time career. That passion and skill shows in all she teaches me, and she is a joy to be around. I would absolutely recommend her as a piano teacher!
I started taking lessons with Laura to resume my Spanish studies after a 6 year gap and to improve my Spanish conversation skills for travel purposes. I have benefited from her teaching style and learning approach greatly. Each lesson is focused on areas which I struggle and she incorporates reading, writing, and communication into each lesson. Nevertheless, success is still directly proportional to the time and effort I put into each lesson after class, however Laura has provided me with the resources and instruction necessary to learn the language. In the 6 or 7 classes I have had with her already my skills have improved, and I look forward to continue to study with her and advance my Spanish conversation skills over the coming year.
Mary is awesome because she is very patient and thorough. I look forward to many more lessons..
Brooke is easy to work with and my daughter loves her voice lessons each week
I have been taking lessons from Jerimiah since August 2016. He has a wonderfully welcoming and positive attitude, which makes his studio a stress-free environment to improve your playing and challenge yourself. He is very accommodating of students' busy schedules, and is always responsive to text and email. He is very attentive to individual students' goals, and is proficient in a diverse repertoire from musical theater to jazz to classical, both for piano and vocals. He puts on seasonal recitals for his students, which is helpful for student goal-setting and performance confidence. I would recommend Jerimiah to vocal and piano students of any age or skill level. -Dan N.
I have been a guitar student of Jeff's for about a year and a half and in that time he has encouraged me to work on different types of music, play different instruments - both acoustic and electric guitar as well as mandolin. I like Jeff's approach to teaching because even if you are brand new to the guitar you will learn how to play chords and songs and won't be immediately bogged down by music theory. With that being said, once you have the basics down Jeff will talk music theory, circle of fifths, etc all day. When I ask Jeff to humor me and tediously work through intricate songs figuring out chords he's always willing. When I am feeling like I need some motivation or don't know what to work on next I will ask him to bring something challenging for me and he shows up the next week with interesting song choices I would have never come up with on my own. Also, I really appreciate how flexible Jeff is with my schedule. He understands that I have a busy schedule, work full time, take classes, travel for work, he is always flexible and accommodating. Overall, Jeff is a great instructor, has a great attitude, is pleasant, and will make as much of your lessons and time together as you do.
My son was hesitant to start his guitar lessons, and if he didn’t like it, it would be a major ordeal to get him in the car to go. I work like everyone and have zero time left. The fact that Tess comes to the house to teach - while I prepare dinner - is freaking awesome. What a time saver. And shes made it a great experience by offering tons of encouragement and lots of laughter wrapped up in a neat 30 min session. Highly recommend.
My son took piano lessons from Tanya for 6 months this school year. We were sad to see her move. Colorado is lucky to have her. She really relates to her students and makes learning fun for them.
Ive taken guitar lessons with Gene for over 5 years. My guitar experience prior to meeting Gene was very limited. So limited that I didnt even own a guitar pic nor how to properly hold/use one. I never felt that I needed guitar lessons as I had taught myself many other hobbies in the past. Practice makes perfect was a motivational phrase I often told myself. It wasnt till a failed audition at my local church that I realized my practicing wasnt producing the results I had wanted/expected. I started working with Gene and immediately identified that a majority of my current abilities were based upon improper techniques. I didnt fully appreciate or understand proper technique as its affects were not always apparent in my playing. As my lessons progressed and technique improved, I realized that my motivational slogan wasnt complete. I now say; proper practice makes perfect. Working with Gene got me back on track with learning to play guitar. I have confidence when practicing knowing that the time Im investing is not being wasted on bad habits. A lot has changed since starting lessons with Gene. I re-auditioned at church and made the worship team! I regularly played lead guitar at my church and was content with my playing ability. I decided to stop lessons as I now had a solid foundation and figured that I could pick up anything I didnt know from online videos. This was one of biggest mistakes Ive made. Quickly after being on my own, I began to realize the lacking quality and musicianship in the countless tutorial videos found on YouTube. Its easy finding online song lesson, however, its very rare to find someone teaching it correctly or true to the album. I remembered working with Gene and not only learning the EXACT riffs and leads to a song, but also the artists style, tone and effects used. Over the years I became accustom to learning and sounding just like the artist I was trying to replicate. This quality of instruction I have only been able to find while working with Gene. I noticed that my interested in playing guitar faded after I ended lessons. I just didnt have the excitement to learn new songs or challenge myself to play better on the ones I did know. After a long sabbatical I decided to start back up lessons with Gene. Fast forward a few years; I now look forward to practicing nightly and regularly play with multiple churches within the Denver Metro area. I would not be where I am musically today without Genes guidance and inspiration. Hes a great mentor and continues to challenge me to be a better musician. Looking back, if I could change anything about my experience with Gene, it would be starting lessons with him sooner and never taken a break.
I've been blown away by my lessons with Allie. I've never known a voice teacher so intuitive and inspiring. She is not only addressing the specific goals I have defined for myself, but she has brought so much more depth to the lessons than I thought I could ask for in a teacher. Highly recommend her for any singer-songwriters out there.
The customer service and follow up are exceptional. Our boys, ages 10 and 11 have taken immediately to Leah and are super excited to continue thier lessons.
Before having lessons with Leandro I loved singing, but I had a hard time with high notes and with keeping my voice stable. It also felt like singing was really tiring. I hardly ever had a sound I actually liked and that was comfortable and easy to recreate. After my first few lessons my voice already felt much more stable, and I learned several exercises that helped me a lot. After every lesson I felt a big difference in the way I handled my voice; singing was way easier and much more pleasant! I think that the time I spent working on my voice with Leandro was crucial to being able to reach my goals and to feel like it is possible to get incredible results with technique and knowledge of your instrument! A lot of the things that I apply today to both singing and speaking I learned with Leandro.
Mrs. Fraser is a great teacher! My daughter had taken lessons with her for years now. It has always been a wonderful experience. My daughter has learned so much about the piano and music theory. She really cares about each student and their families. We always look forward to the piano recitals for her students each year. It is a wonderful showcase of each student and where they are at in their skills. Not to mention what an excellent piano performer she is as well! Thank you Mrs. Fraser for your dedication and talent!
Great school! Had been learning guitar on my own for a while and got stuck in a rut so I decided to try out lessons. Russ has been a great teacher and I've learned a ton of new techniques that I never would have tried on my own. Very laid back and flexible. Would recommend to anyone.
My daughter has been taking lessons with Kathy for 2 months now and loves it! She makes the lessons fun and my daughter always looks forward to going. Kathy is encouraging and has a way of making corrections not seem like a correction in the student's eyes. She is wonderful!
Alex has offered to help us get started in the hunt for a piano. He has a lot of expertise and we can't wait to get started on lessons.
Great first lesson with Andrew, I found exactly what I was looking for and I am looking forward to working with him.
Amber and I had been friends for several years when, at 65, I decided to take singing lessons. She was very encouraging and made the experience fun. I always looked forward to each lesson because something new would be learned or improved upon.
Alec has been so great to work with! He's patient, knowledgeable, and always keeps the lessons fun and interesting. I've already learned so much from him! I highly recommend Alec as a piano teacher!
