After two years of being a stay-at-home parent and not utilizing my gym membership, I sought out personal training. At the time I needed some motivation as it was too easy to "throw in the towel" at the end of the day and relax on the couch. I was unhappy with my body and feeling lethargic daily. Just one month into working with Jeremy I noticed my energy increasing and my partner constantly told me how much happier I seemed. Jeremy, the owner and trainer at NJoy Fitness, is the perfect blend of trainer and life-coach. I've renewed with him several times already and have no plans to quite working with him. In the past, I have had several attempts at personal training and this is BY FAR the BEST and most rewarding experience I have ever had. I am so happy with Jeremy that I have been talking about my experience with everyone I know. Jeremy is patient and supportive as well as absolutely knowledgeable. He is flexible with scheduling- which is a great bonus for my busy family life. He pushes you hard and also recognizes your limitations. Good form and proper technique are more important to him than breaking your body getting in three more reps. I cannot say enough good things about his methodology and energy. If you are on the fence about who to choose as a trainer...trust me, you will be glad you did!
As a beginner to serious workouts, I am glad I chose Serious About Fitness. It's been about 3 weeks since I joined and I have worked with both Chris and Garren during this time. Though it is a group training, the trainers keep an eye out for how you are doing and the training sessions are highly personalized and fun while challenging at the same time. Looking forward to more great workouts!

Anthony is a great trainer who provides professional insight in high intense interval training, can customize workouts based on my goals, and teaches me proper form and technique while educating me on what I'm doing and why. Love his enthusiasm and constant motivation which is what I need to get me back into shape. The programs are worthwhile and that's why I am still in it.

Autum is a fantastic personal fitness trainer. She is very knowledgeable on fitness training, nutrition and wellness, and she tailored a program specifically for my situation and health goals. I quickly saw results and I met all my objectives. I enjoyed my training sessions with Autum, she is professional, positive, friendly and easy to work with, and she truly cares about her clients. Nick Koller has help me reach fitness goals that I could not otherwise do myself. The job was at Excellence Health and Fitness Gym. Although, we are still in progress Nick has been helping me train for 5 weeks now and I have already seen major inprovments in lower body fat and more muscle growth. What impressed me about the service is how much improvement I have been making in only 1 hour a session for 3 sessions a week. In addition, I really like how much I felt that Nick cared for my fitness goals and what I wanted to achieve. I have training with Nick for 5 weeks now and I would say he's exceeded my expectation of where I would want to be within this time. Nick has always been on time when we have scheduled sessions and he has been very flexible with my schedual. Given the results that I have shown I would say the quality of the work is excellent. I'm not sure I can say that there is anything that could have improved my experience because my experience was fantastic.
I started training with Tim Koffler 8 years ago, yes, EIGHT years ago. Before, I had worked with others trainers, but Tim proved to be the best by far. He introduced exercises that I did not think i'd be capable of doing. He encouraged me to go for them and I learned how to trust him and his judgement. Tim changed the routines all the time to keep me challenged, prevent boredom and see the results I wanted. I can honestly say I would not be in the shape I'm in without Tim. He is demanding and creative. He is always ready with new ideas; always willing to adjust workouts. He has an eye for my strengths and weaknesses (of which there are quite a few). Training is not always fun, but Tim knows that. He is patient when it seems necessary, supportive and very knowledgeable. A few years ago, Tim also became a Licensed Massage Therapist. That extra knowledge of the body and its functions is priceless. He can "diagnose" problems during training; give expert advice and he offers massage therapy if needed. I love the workout sessions with Tim. He pushes me harder than I would ever do myself. He is easy going and reliable and became a good friend after all these years. A great trainer like Tim is such a pleasure. It's a commitment I made to stay healthy and in shape; and it's a commitment on his side, too. I will continue training with him as long as I'm able to lift a 2-pound dumbbell!
Maryliah is both motivating and extremely knowledgeable. She provided training that was tailored to my needs and abilities. I felt challenged but not overwhelmed. As an experienced weight lifter she definitely walks the walk and doesn’t offer advice that she wouldn’t take herself. Thanks for the great workout and continued motivation!

Let me tell you about my experience with Marinello Fitness. I contacted Daniel approximately 6 months before I was due to go to Navy Boot Camp. I was 30 years old and at 195lbs, I was overweight. I hadn't really worked out very much in my life, and so I wasn't used to doing so and as such I was very unfit. I couldn't even do five push ups and I certainly couldn't run down to the end of the a football field without being out of breath about half way there. To be able to be boot camp ready I had to lose some pounds, be able to do more push ups and sit ups as well as run 1.5 miles. I had to be able to compete with 18 years old who were fresh out of high school. It was a very intimidating prospect for my future and it left me very anxious. After contacting Daniel, he promptly got back in touch with me and after first assessing my current level of fitness, he came up with a great work out plan to help me reach my goals and that met my budget restraints. The plan was for five days a week of personal training and was not overly difficult, and he was careful to help me make sure that I didn't injure myself. He also gave exceptional advice on diet and nutrition that was healthy, and would still enable me to have delicious food. Throughout the entire process Daniel was never judgmental and was very patient, pleasant, encouraging, and always cared about my long term success, he is an amazing motivator. By the end of my time time working with Daniel I ended up being able to reach all of my goals, losing more than 20lbs, and not only meeting, but exceeding the requirements to pass Navy Boot Camp. I was able to do more sit-ups than any of the 18 year-olds that were there! If you ever have the privilege to work with Daniel, I suggest you take it. He will help you reach all of your goals in a way better than anyone else can. I also know for a fact that Daniel is always getting big dollar offers from oil rich Sheikhs in the Middle East to help them with their fitness and their golf game, so make use of him while you still have him.
There are personal trainers, and then there is Dave Engle. Dave stands alone because of his extensive experience and outstanding qualifications. Whether you are training for an Olympic event or are a 92-year-old woman – as I am – Dave’s help is invaluable. In my case, I was afraid I had reached the point where I was finally going to need a walker. But under Dave’s careful guidance I am now able to climb a flight of stairs without difficulty. I give Dave credit for improving my quality of life greatly. Don’t believe that you have to give in to the infirmities of old age. Let Dave help you!
I came on thumbtack looking for a personal trainer and it was a bit overwhelming. MaryLou made finding a trainer on here much easier than past experiences. She’s flexible, easy to talk to, and a great trainer! I’m always sore after training with her and I can tell she’s really helping me. I would highly recommend her for anyone!

In that time, through Corbin's training, nutritional guidance, positive motivation and encouragement, I have lost 30 pounds, several inches and about 3 sizes. I started working out with Ron in June 2012, and have been taking his classes multiple x a week ever since. Mainly, I'm taking Ron’s Power Reformer (Pilates) classes, but had many TRX classes with him and six months of Strength and Conditioning (weight training) as well; so, my opinion is definitely informed. The same principles were consistently applied by Ron, no matter the class type: well-rounded full-body workout that is always planned and thought out, individual attention to form, and workout intensity that always pushes my limits and helps me grow stronger (and angrier haha). All that wrapped up with a professionalism bow; Ron’s always on time, always courteous and always up for helping you meet your training goals.
I was treated with respect and yet his desire is for you to reach your goal. Steve also was encouraging and guided. He was avaliable by phone or email. He throughly got my information that pertaining to health and excersize. He followed up with me at least 1 or 2 times by email or phone. I would recommend Steve for training and health habits or concerns. He has a kind and caring character. Diane Simons
Becky is amazing to work with. She is always so happy and upbeat which makes the work to be done so much fun. Her training plans are completely tailored to your specific needs and areas of strengths and weakness. I am never overwhelmed by her "homework", and results fall inline very quickly!
Love working with my future trainer. She's excellent at scheduling workouts around my busy life, and the variety I get is far beyond what I was able to do on my own. This is really a great program if you want the accountability of a real person plus the convenience of being able to do workouts wherever. I can do workouts when traveling, at home, at the gym. They also customize the workout to the gear I have available, which makes it super easy. It's also great having an app to reach out to my trainer, rather than waiting for my weekly training session to ask questions. Megan's very punctual with responses, and very understanding with all my concerns. Overall this is an excellent service. Much recommended.
