Jason Trammell is a very good personal trainer. I am 59 years old and have Spastic/Dystonic Cerebral Palsy. When I went on Thumbtack to find a trainer (I did say I had Cerebral Palsy), Jason was the only one to reply. Most personal trainers would not know how to work with me, but Jason stepped up to the challenge. I have been work with Jason for over 6 months. Once I talked with him about how my disability affected my muscle movements and balance, he figured out the best way in which to work with me. That said, He doesn’t treat me with “kid gloves”, instead he pushes me to my limit and sometimes beyond. When I feel like can’t do something, he gets me to try and usually he is right. This technique helps by reducing my limits and building my strength. I do need to say that I always feel safe that I will not fall or get hurt, because Jason is always close by to make sure that doesn’t happen! Most people hire trainers for weight loss. I was 10 pounds underweight. Jason made up a food schedule for me and is constantly bugging me about eating more, now I’m only 5 pounds underweight. Strength training is so very important for people, especially woman, over 45 whether or not you have a disability. Working out with Jason will keep me from needing to use a wheelchair or scooter for many years to come, as well as keep me independent in my own home and doing all the regular things everyone else can do. Finally, Jason’s prices are very reasonable. if you look up the cost of joining a gym and having a personal trainer 3-times a week, you will probably be paying twice as much! I’ve trained for many years and a former bodybuilder. Worked with many trainers and Felton definitely stands out. His approach is simple yet so effective! I was looking for a trainer to help me trim down and get re-focused on my workouts after I fell off for a while. I was used to heavy and intense workouts that led to injuries in the past or rapid weight loss only for weight to rapidly return. Felton has a way to provide great workouts that target very specific muscles and movements that are incredibly challenging. He pays attention during training sessions and is not on the phone or holding side conversations (had previous bad experiences with this). He forces me to let go of the ego of always lifting heavy and focus on building full body balanced strength in a sustainable way. He’s also super helpful when it comes to nutrition. Does not give complex do’s and don’ts and provides common sense guidance. Felton is not only knowledgeable but a living example of his own work. At almost 70 years old, he still competes in body building and personal training. He’s a walking inspiration and all around nice guy!

I have been training with Turk for about three months now and have had great results after trying to no avail on my own. I am sitting here typing in jeans I had not been able to pull on for a year. I never hired a personal trainer before, so this has been a new experience for me. I was a little nervous about going to a muscle gym, but I saw on the reviews that Turk works with plenty of women (I am mid-40's) so I took a chance. I could not be happier and feel like I really lucked out. Turk is very responsive and listens to what it is that you want to accomplish. He created a very doable plan for me which included explaining how to eat appropriately. I always thought that fruit and lettuce would be how to lose weight and I could not have been more wrong. I have been eating plenty of food while losing weight and fat and building lean muscle. The few times I have texted Turk with the various temptations out in the world, he has responded almost immediately with support and encouragement. If you are planning to work with a personal trainer and are serious about putting in the effort, I would give Turk 6 out of 5 stars...go for it. He is the real deal. You will not be disappointed.

Dan and I have been training together since 05 May 2020, and we've hit a number of goals together along the way. After a lifetime of hating running and many false starts at attempting some distance (more than 5 miles), Dan helped me knock out a half marathon 19 days after we started training together with a regimen of steady distance increases, splitting my training runs, and a focus on refueling and recovering appropriately. Determination helped on my part, but I leaned heavily on Dan's training and recovery expertise. Before training together, my 1 rep max on bench press was 114 lbs and I had long struggled to go heavy. By the end of 2020, I was knocking out 3 sets of 6 reps @ 185 lbs -- well beyond my original goal of hitting a 1 rep max of 162 lbs. As my goals have changed over time, Dan has adapted our training regime. More recently i've taken up capoeira, an Afro-Brazilian martial art, and Dan has adapted our training around the demanding core, shoulder, leg, flexibility, balance, and stamina requirements of capoeira. Dan is punctual and professional, and I love the time we spend together training. He's a great person to bounce ideas off of, and I get to come away from each of our training sessions having been challenged physically and also often intellectually. One of my less concrete goals of working with Dan was to feel better about myself and to feel more at-home in my body. I've never been a particularly capable athlete, and working at a desk throughout my 20s has done me no favors in the category of physical fitness. With Dan's encouragement and guidance, i've been able to crush steadily more challenging workouts. I come away from our lifts feeling more successful, more powerful, and ready to take on the rest of my goals each week. I would recommend Dan to anyone and everyone looking for a personal trainer.

To start off with, I'm not your typical suburban mom. I don't enjoy gyms, having brunch or anything like that. I'm a keep to myself, you boss me around & I'll rebel kinda woman. My point? I refused to look into workout programs for many reasons. Didn't want all eyes on me in the gym(for any reason), didn't want to pay $100s on a personal trainer and frankly, I thought I'd refuse to do anything right(because I partially thought I knew better) but my body & activity has changed since I was a teen & COVID just added to my weight issue. I gave in, in the middle of my vacation & looked at thumbtack for personal trainers. I love so much that it's virtual(also because I have a child in virtual learning), I can do workouts on my time & my favorite part... I have someone there to help me create better food habits or anything, anytime because I can always text my trainer! I take pictures of my food(never thought I'd do that! Ha!), I get asked questions about how much i ate, what fat % and suggestions on how to make my favorite foods healthier! I even got behind on my workouts(stress & ugh working out) by a couple days & I got a text saying "let's try to get a workout in today"... Yeah... Ok ookkaaayyy. I got it done & I honestly feel good about it. It's customized around what I'm comfortable with but still pushed. I only give 4 stars because my trainer was almost non-existent feedback at first but she's getting better & with only been with this program for 3 weeks... I don't have much to go on. I do enjoy it... Just gotta somehow find the motivation sometimes. BTW! You start to feel very guilty eating foods you know you shouldn't. 😂🤷‍♀️

Before signing up with Jason, I had never worked with a personal trainer before. I didn’t really know what to expect and was a little apprehensive and nervous. All that went away during my first work out with Jason. After that first workout I signed up for 5 more right on the spot. Jason was knowledgeable, patient, friendly and encouraging. He always arrived right on time--the one time he was late due to stopped traffic, he contacted me early, and kept me informed on his ETA; which was only 10-15 minutes late. Gabe was the perfect personal trainer to go with. Save yourself time and get Dustin already! No need to look any further, he is your guy. Not only does he know what he’s talking about, he looks the part too. I was initially intimidated by someone that had so much muscle, but his gentle, attentive mannerisms quickly put me at ease.
